Last week I resigned as @ANC1A 06. Been an HONOR to help rep #ColumbiaHeights. Tough decision but 1) need family focus for a bit & 2) IMO #ANC is broken & inequitable system. I'll continue to give back on the board of @cataloguedc or w/small biz in #DC w/my company @TheRegularApp

Having keynoted/presented, helped plan, & attended so many conferences I know 'why' it happens. But I just lol at the wealthy foundation owning pseudo celebrities at these events.... Especially in #philanthropy & #Socialimpact. Why not people actually doing the work?

VCs now realizing Silicon Valley has a public image problem and suggesting we increase PR efforts and participation in politics to make clear that Silicon Valley problems are every American's problems…

A better (and easier) starting point might simply be investing in more underrepresented founders that live outside of SV and NYC. At the very least, we won't have to all retweet the same female founder in Ohio next time.

@BarredinDC I'm pretty sure most people do far more damage to their sleep with a myriad of other voluntary and regular behaviors but somehow the time change is apocalyptic for some in their minds. IMO Bring on the extra usable hours of daylight
