today i read that butterflies rest when it rains because it damages their wings. it’s okay to rest during the storms of life. you’ll fly again when it’s over.
My therapist told me
"We need to talk about the trauma of being the 'good kid' who grew up to be the exhausted adult. You spent your entire childhood chasing gold stars, keeping the peace, and making sure you never caused a single inconvenience for the adults around you. You became hyper-vigilant about reading the room, managing everyone else's moods, and burying your own needs so deep you forgot they existed. Now, you're an adult who physically panics at the thought of disappointing a stranger, handles conflict like a death sentence, and feels guilty just for resting. You weren't actually an 'easy' child-you were just a child who learned very early that your safety depended on your compliance. It is time to stop auditioning for everyone else's approval and start learning who you are when you aren't trying to save the day.

I don't really trust people like that no more because I don't feel like everybody intentions be right. Too many people come around smiling but it don't be genuine. So I stay private, I move careful, and I watch how people act before I let them get close. If it feel off, I'm cool. I'd rather stay to myself than be around somebody with weird motives.
Your impact on other people is bigger than you think. Someone still giggles when they think of that funny thing you said. Someone still smiles when they think of the compliment you gave them. Someone silently admires you. The advice you give has made a difference for people. The support and love you've offered others has made someone's day. Your input and opinions have made someone think twice. You're not insignificant and forgotten. Your existence makes a positive difference, whether you see it or not.
I love for free. I don't keep score, I don't move with hidden motives, and I don't expect anything material back from nobody. When I show love, it's genuine. I show up because I want to, not because I'm looking for something in return. The only thing I ever expect is loyalty. Not perfection, not money, not favors. Just loyalty. Be solid with me the same way I'm solid with you. Don't smile in my face and move weird behind my back. Don't switch up when you're not benefiting from me. I can deal with a lot, but I can't deal with fake. Love is easy for me, but trust is earned, and loyalty is non negotiable. If you can't give me that, then it don't matter how much love I got, you won't get access to it.
I'm private with my problems fr. I don't be telling friends or family like that, I just keep it to myself and handle it. Not everybody need to know what I got going on. I learned the hard way that the more people know, the more opinions come with it. So I stay quiet, thug it out, and keep moving.
I learned that everybody don’t need access to me. Not everybody deserve updates, explanations, or a front row seat to my life. Some people only know you to misunderstand you, drain you, or watch instead of support. So I move different now. I stay low, handle what I gotta handle, and let results speak. Whoever meant to stay will stay without forcing it.
I can't respect somebody who can take everything I offer. My time, my loyalty, my support, my effort, my peace, and still not value me fr. That's why I started moving different. I'm not perfect, but I know I deserve more than being drained and taken for granted. If love come with stress and constant disrespect, I'd rather be alone. I'm not putting up with anything just to keep somebody in my life.
One day I realized I knew exactly how to comfort an avoidant when they were overwhelmed, but they had no idea how to comfort me when I was hurting. I'd learned their fears, their triggers, and their boundaries. They never seemed interested in learning mine. That's when I understood the relationship had only been growing in one direction.
