@Coach_Yac While I generally agree I must point out that the last several years we've not had a closer at all. Doval was horrible. After Romo and Wilson what lights out closer have we had since?
@DCHamSandwich@NFL_DovKleiman That's not accurate, passing or failing a physical is not relevant as is having the data that they can then share with other teams. The guarantees have been voided but the contract has not. If he shows up in the facility and is still on the roster week 1 then he gets paid.
I agree, he could totally do that but he's not shown any willingness to do that. If he walks into the facility he'll likely only take a physical, then he'd have to be paid if he's on the roster week one, but once he shows and takes a physical then he could be shopped and/or cut. He would not likely be allowed on the practice field where he could get hurt.
@nflrums Kittle tore his Achilles in the playoffs and is already targeting Week 1 in Australia That's a different kind of mentality right there. If he's healthy and Purdy gets that safety blanket back this 49ers offense goes from a question mark to legitimately dangerous.
@ItsMeDarrell@AdamSchefter Oh please there is no credible study that shows this to be false. If it were false the out flow of population from Illinois, California, and New York wouldn't be happening...
@IllinNoize@AdamSchefter You may want to research that further, the income tax rate is 2% lower. Property tax rates are substantially lower, sales tax rates are lower. For high income individuals these things add up to real money.
Hereโs the reality, Portland wants to play in the big pool and attract an MLB team, right now they are likely behind Salt Lake City and Nashville in that endeavor. If they donโt figure out this arena issue fast and keep the Blazers happy then they are all but done in the quest for MLB.
