Pride is not a virtue to be celebrated. God resists the proud, but gives grace to humble people who confess their sin, repent, and place their faith in the crucified and risen Savior. Jesus is Lord!
Hearing news about Kyle Busch, a verse came to mind, “You don’t know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes” (James 4:14). We don’t know how much time we have before we step into eternity. Trust Jesus!
“I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” -Ps. 18:1-2
“But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.” - Isaiah 53:5
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us.” -Ps. 103:11-12
I’m still reflecting on what the Lord did today at Hopewell. Such a joy to see all the babies dedicated, parents commissioned, people saved, coming for baptism, joining the church. What a Savior! 🙌🙌
