@EldcstDaughter - might be considered as him speaking out of turn, but he felt as though they were past that.
"It would take alot for me to hate anyone at all, especially you"
@EldcstDaughter "Of course we don't despise you. I know that Anna considers you a real friend, and Carson see's you almost as a daughter. Just because you might have done things, or said things that aren't perfect doesn't mean you deserve to be despised"
He realised that now -
@EldcstDaughter - "You honestly have nothing to apologise for... You all treat us so well. Yes, you, in particular, don't say much to any of us but I don't hate you for it. It would take an awful lot for me to hate you"
Actually, as it happened he rather liked her.
@EldcstDaughter Too forward, was not a word he would have ever used to describe her until now, but to him it wasn't a bad thing that she was /really/ talking to him for the first time. He shook his head when she started to apologise, stopping her from carrying on -
@EldcstDaughter - going to tell Lord Grantham, even though it wasn't his fault. All that mattered to him was that she was okay.
"I'll do my best to get you back in on piece"
He laughed slightly, trying to lighten things again.
@EldcstDaughter "I'm fine, thank you. Alright, as long as your sure"
He turned himself back around and started to drive again, albeit slightly alower this time. He didn't look back at Mary as much and kept his eyes fixed to the road infront of him. He was glad that she wasn't -
@EldcstDaughter - hoping that he hadn't hurt her. He smiled a little wider when he could properly see that she really was okay.
"Do you still want to go? Or I can just take you home"
@EldcstDaughter He turns around in his seat so that he can look at her, an apologetic smile on his lips.
"Thank you, i'm really sorry... are you sure your okay?"
He was more worried about how hard he had gripped her arm -
@EldcstDaughter - her until they had come to a complete stop. He let out a long sigh, his eyes wide and his hand shaking slightly.
"God i'm so sorry, are you okay?"
@EldcstDaughter - instinct was to protect Mary, at any cost. He swerved around the animal, the car tilting to the side a little too much so he reached behind him into the carriage and gripped Mary's arm, stopping her from falling out of the side as he slammed on the breaks. Keeping a hold of -
@EldcstDaughter - "I can tell that he does, that both of you do. It's always good to have something that you love, it gives you a reason and a purpose"
Was what he was saying even making sense? He was trying to concentrate on driving, as well as concentrating on her.
@EldcstDaughter Tom was well aware of how much Lord Grantham loved his house, but he didn't envy them. He had always disliked the upper class, because privilege just isn't fair, everyone deserves a fair chance. He listened to her speak, a smile still spread across his face -
@EldcstDaughter - and he probably wouldnt again for a long time, and definately not at Downton.
"Do you really care about The Abbey that much?"
He was only curious, his eyes now back on the road but still listening to her.
@EldcstDaughter He liked hearing her talk that way, as though something mattered to her. There was a hint of passion in her voice and it made him smile, again...
"Exactly... There's nothing quite like that feeling"
He was jealous of her in a way, that she could feel that daily -
