@reiaposting The obvious final take is that the US is as diverse as individual European countries and that's that. It's a massive country full of many different cultures, and just like someone from Vermont and Louisiana are very different, so are someone from Galicia or Andalusia
Earlier, this same guy said Belgium has more variety and culture.
Then, he says that bc English is spoken in all 50 states, it isn't the same.
Belgians speak French.
The UK is comprised of different countries. They all speak English.
@lamont1940@SimonJester2076@Andr3jH even in more recent history french and germans as a broad group have disagreed greatly on economic policy, nuclear energy, labour rights, religion... the topics& values debated in each country are entirely different, its not like the US where people broadly debate the same issues
@SimonJester2076@lamont1940@Andr3jH again not to mention the obvious difference within each country as well. Its 2 big countries with large cultural differences. Individual european countries are as diverse as the US is as a whole
@CollinMcrockin@marwood_lennox Every major european city is very diverse as well, maybe not as much as nyc (argument could be made for london, paris or brussels) but still very very diverse
