KIPP is truly an amazing organization. KIPP serves 100,000 students. These students graduate college at 3x the rate of their peers. Amazing for kids and an important piece of making our country better.

@Mr_Ankrum@ccoleiii@8BlackHands1@Twitter Of course those whose interests would be challenged by the presence of Freedom Schools would say “these schools take away scarce resources from the school system.” #8BlackHands
@Brucesummerste2 You’re kidding me right? Poverty is a problem for sure But not an excuse. Adults blaming kids for their condition...that’s a bigger problem!
EVERY STUDENT! The fault lines between district and charters, state vs local should not be the driver as to which students get quality facilities. Need a solution that respects ALL kids and families. #LaEd

@Brucesummerste2 What does that have to do with anything? And no one is negatively portraying anything or anyone. Just pointing out that kids are attending chronically low performing high schools. And their mostly AA students who deserve better. And it’s our job to do something about it.
High school performance data in #BatonRouge is dismal. Take a look at this screenshot from https://t.co/e4x8PcXcAK If you live at 3625 Prescott Rd., there are 4 times as many D/F rated high schools than A/B rated schools within a 5 mile radius. Need new, creative solutions. #LaEd
Annual performance results are a useful tool to guide district and school improvement strategies. Celerity Louisiana decision to adopt high quality curriculum through #ESSA has resulted in the ONLY 2 schools in EBR Parish on track to exit CIR status. #LaEd
Today's release of 2017-2018 performance results is an important step in Louisiana's push for higher expectations and improvement. Learn more: https://t.co/dhAQFYMhms #LaEd#ECE#ESSA
