"Papa, ich hab aus Bügelperlen einen Zug gesteckt. Hier kannst du die Achsfolge erkennen, Bo'Bo'2'2'2'2'Bo'Bo'"
Darf ich vorstellen, mein Sohn, der Achsfolgen mit Bügelperlen darstellt.
One of the best early 80s games ever is Choplifter, from 1982, developed by Dan Gorlin and published by Broderbund. It also became one of the best selling games ever for the Apple II.
I first saw and played this at a friend's house. We had a handrittwen "Highscore" list that we updated over several months, signed by all players present when we played it. One simple rule was that highscores only counted when at least one other person was present and signed it off. I wished that list didn't get lost in time. Early 80s gaming included so many things that don't exist anymore today... handwritten high score lists, drawn dungeon maps, and level codes.
@ApothekerDer Jo, da diskutiere ich auch nicht mehr. Als vor Jahren meine damalige Hausärztin meine Colitis u. mit Homöopathie "behandeln" wollte, hab ich die Praxis gewechselt.
Hey Twitter, it's my Birthday 🥳✨
I've been working non-stop on the new Arcane portraits series so it'll be an amazing gift if you shared this post 💜
Prints are also up for grabs, as well as Patre💫n bonuses!

@Lewski82@AfD Fantasiezahlen!
A couple reflections on the quantum computing breakthrough we just announced...
Most of us grew up learning there are three main types of matter that matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Today, that changed.
After a nearly 20 year pursuit, we’ve created an entirely new state of matter, unlocked by a new class of materials, topoconductors, that enable a fundamental leap in computing.
It powers Majorana 1, the first quantum processing unit built on a topological core.
We believe this breakthrough will allow us to create a truly meaningful quantum computer not in decades, as some have predicted, but in years.
The qubits created with topoconductors are faster, more reliable, and smaller.
They are 1/100th of a millimeter, meaning we now have a clear path to a million-qubit processor.
Imagine a chip that can fit in the palm of your hand yet is capable of solving problems that even all the computers on Earth today combined could not!
Sometimes researchers have to work on things for decades to make progress possible.
It takes patience and persistence to have big impact in the world.
And I am glad we get the opportunity to do just that at Microsoft.
This is our focus: When productivity rises, economies grow faster, benefiting every sector and every corner of the globe.
It’s not about hyping tech; it’s about building technology that truly serves the world.
The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
