What HB 2987 requires:
- Shelter maps (must accommodate 125% of capacity)
- Documented evacuation procedures
- Training schedules

How cool would it be if you could literally download knowledge and be able to do something useful with that knowledge?
I am honored to have been recently interviewed by Tanmay Shah for the Innovations at Research Park podcast.

Some stories you’ll hear:
- How I went from documenting endangered languages to using IoT for consumer research.
- My research on dialect of ways of speaking by various groups (Brahmins speaking Telugu, sales people, and serial innovators).
- How to break down the knowledge of expertise so you can teach others.
- How Puzzle Labs is revolutionizing knowledge transfer with glossaries (.glo files) and AI.
- The Working with AI user group here at the University of Illinois
I agree with your argument. Anyone who works in a specialized field uses jargon to speed up their work. I know plenty of people in the manual trades (plumbers, electricians, manufacturing) who don’t need a college degree for their work. But boy howdy do they use jargon to speed up their work.
🔍 Let's talk about jargon in the workplace. I just read an interesting article on CNBC about how big names like Mark Cuban and Elon Musk feel about using simple language. [Check out the article here](https://t.co/FPRwEWP7oo).
🚀 Looking Ahead
How do we make sure our newest employees (and interns!) can learn the important terms without getting overwhelmed? It's all about organizing your glossaries faster and leveraging technology like AI so they can get accurate and immediate answers to their questions.
As we get ready to release some cool new product features at Puzzle Labs, this topic is top of my mind.
