My daughter geeked out when I told her that they are signal flags and convey a different message when combined different ways. She said why when you can use radio - I said Mariners need many different ways to communicate especially during a loss of Comms. So every Navy Sailor needs to have basic understanding of signal flags.

Weak. These women are NOT built like the generations before them. Women were force fed semolina to get the right to vote. Women worked hard manual labor right up until birth and then back at it damn near immediately. Thankfully we have time off for that - but for a period specifically? You get sick days and personal days for the rough days. This is ridiculous and whiny.
