What a few weeks in the world of Breaking Binaries and beyond!
Our reflections: amazing people; amazing presentations; a collective will to challenge inequities and remain accountable; and, a combined passion of wanting organisations to be better for everyone!
In the world of disability and volunteering, Nat, one of our PhD students from the Breaking Binaries Research Lab, has had a busy fortnight! 😆
Head over to our blog to read more about her research and the positive impacts of her work!

Demo tomorrow (Sat 19th 1pm, Castle Square) protesting the anti-trans Supreme Court ruling + oncoming wave of access/rights restrictions. Rain should have cleared up by then - please do come in solidarity! #swansea#abertawe#queer
Excellent summary: The Supreme Court ignored trans voices. I’m ashamed of what our law has become | Good Law Project @GoodLawProject https://t.co/LoHdEl13Bb
The Supreme Court sided with FWS. But it didn’t hear from a single trans person.
This ruling sets a dangerous precedent and erases trans women from protections. It puts trans rights back 20 years.
We won't stop fighting for trans rights 🏳️⚧️
It bears repeating today: the women celebrating the UK supreme court ruling do not speak for me. History shows that the rights of women and the rights of trans people will rise and fall together. My safety as a cis woman will never spring from the persecution of trans women.
