So I took this picture last night. Surface level, nothing that significant. Personal level, lots of significance.
That was my last cigarette.
Feels premature to call myself a nonsmoker, but we're trying to do the thing. It's challenging, and I'm going to thread about that. 1/?
Music Question Friday: Off Target Audience Edition. Give me a track that you enjoy that, to your mind, wasn't written with you as the intended audience.
Music Question Friday: Now I'll Show You My True Form Edition. Give me a track you enjoy that doesn't really get rolling or show its best parts until you're a decent chunk of the way through it. Starts off somewhere in the OK to meh range, but turns into an absolute banger.
Music Question Friday: 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong Edition. Deep cuts and more obscure artists are great and all, but there's something to be said for things that succeed in the mainstream. Give me a track that you expect most people to recognize that you really like.
For me, Facebook really, really wants me to go see The Stroppers in Millvale at the end of March. I'd never heard of The Stroppers, but damn if the clips I was given don't hit my sensibilities. This track pops a lot in their ads, and it's just great. https://t.co/BV4uxnns3F
Music Question Friday: Algorithmically Speaking Edition. Most of my listening to music these days is site/service auto generated playlists. Sometimes the robot takes a shot on something random, and that can work, so give me a track where the algorithm hit your taste just right.
There's a lot of songs about love. There's not a lot of songs about mummies. There's even fewer about both at the same time, but there's this one, and the lyrics are amazing: https://t.co/N9qbujyolO
Music Question Friday: Totally Not Predictable Edition. It's Valentine's Day, give me a love song. Can be all traditional, very not traditional, or maybe just a stretch you make in your own head (though show your work if you go that route).
So I've discovered I have a pretty large blindspot from like 05 to 18. Heard this for the first time like 5 months ago. 58 million views since 2006, just a little late to the party. https://t.co/NEO5cx3B9A
Music Question Friday: Missed It Edition. This has been a common phenomenon for me lately: give me a track that you like that you just completely missed when it was new. You were around when it released and would've liked it then, but were years late to the party in finding it.
So I took this picture last night. Surface level, nothing that significant. Personal level, lots of significance.

Music Question Friday: Your Little Secret Edition. Give me a track from a band or act you like that isnโt very well known. Local artist, opening act at a show youโd never heard of but dug their sound, or just something off the beaten path you stumbled into.
Heard it on an album, it was great. Stopped listening to that album on the regular, but this track made mixed CDs. Nights on youtube where typing this sounded like a good idea, and of course it was. It's a good track, it'll never be bad to listen to. https://t.co/8Oh35gxp89
Music Question Friday: New Year, Same You Edition. Give me a track that entered your music rotation some time ago and just never left. Something that you've queue up at least somewhat regularly from when you first heard it up until now.
Music Question Friday: You Do You Edition. I'm not feeling structure this evening, so just give me a song that you like. A decade's long favorite, something you heard recently and have been enjoying, or anything in between. Just a song that you like. That's it. That's the prompt.
And weird prompt is weird, so I'll go quick with an example (I have more, don't worry). Anytime somebody says to me "Let's try it one more time." My brain: https://t.co/I802hefgnL
Music Question Friday: The Only Response Edition. Give me a track that will pop into your head every time in response to a mundane thing you encounter. Someone says a phrase, you see something out and about, you recognize a situation, this song is playing in your head immediately
