With all the Gundam news as of recent I’ve been dying to take a crack at drawing some Mobile Suits but with the idea of trying to stylize them into a Western animated style

Curious about the inclusion of aliens since Gundam is usually a political war drama. BUT ☝️this looks like it’s gonna be absolutely gas and I’m more excited by their confidence with this new timeline since it’s connected to Rogue Orbit as well. Can’t wait!

Turned out pretty good! Forgot how annoying colored pencils can be when you made lines that engrave the paper (you can see it more with the greys) but still had a fun time. I’ll color the other one next but after some fun announcements I have something I’ve been dying to draw

Haven’t used much traditional colors let alone colored pencils in such a long time. Feels good and nostalgic (although they def still hurt my hand lol)

This turned out pretty cool. I know I said I’d color her which I’m gonna try but having trouble deciding on colors. Originally she’s like a cool gray with a few dark green accents but we shall see 👀

Finished off the sketch! Don’t hair how this came out at all tho I’m concerned about the negative space in the shoulder/upper back area. I’ll have to look at more ref photos to see if I can fill that void or if it’s better to leave it like that.
