Schirrmeister Diaz-Arrastia Brem LLP is proud to be recognized in the Sixteenth Edition of @BestLawyers® as a Regional Tier 1 Law Firm for Houston in Commercial Litigation
Really exciting this joint effort between our library and legal writing faculty has been recognized for its innovation and implementation of evidence-based pedagogy.
Proud our program was selected as an honorable mention in the Changing Pedagogy category of the Bloomberg Law School Innovation Program & especially that what this article highlights is our focus on the integration of evidence-based strategies /1

Third year law students are in the home stretch — getting geared up to begin their careers as practicing lawyers.
Every year around this time, I try to share 10 important lessons I ultimately learned, but wish someone had taught me before I started my legal career: 🧵👇
Lawyers: If you could give advice to a current law student about the practice of law -- some real advice about lawyering that they can actually use in their career, and that they probably don't yet know -- what would it be?
This semester (2L), I started using @toggltrack to track EVERYTHING I did for law school, whether that was class, reading, office hours, outlining, etc. Clinic was by far the most demanding, but I generally got through with about 40 hours of substantive "work" each week.
The new ALWD Online/Distance Learning Committee, chaired by Profs Kate Brem & Chris Rollins, moved quickly this Spring/Summer to create an incredibly helpful free resource for #legalwriting profs called "Teaching LRW in a HyFlex Classroom." Access it here: https://t.co/iEI9IiR9ua
Profs teaching w/Zoom this semester who also use PPTs: download the latest Zoom update. Then you can select "use slides as a virtual background" & it makes your video a part of your PPT (rather than having your students need to manage two separate windows + shrunken slides).
