Mini rant:

Yes, the Big East was down this year. At this point it’s silly to argue to that. After putting 3 teams into the second weekend, just last year, we are at serious risk to having Sweet 16 without a Bit East team.

However,

If the people who cover and watch this great conference continue to denigrate it, this great conference will be left behind.

I understand being critical, and this conference, like all others, deserves it from time to time. But in the day and age of NIL, transfer portal and football being #1, perception IS reality.

Transfers are acutely aware of Twitter fanbases. Investors are swayed by social media causes.

So, I’m glad I was delusional this year. I’m glad I thought the Big East could put 3 teams in the Final Four. Because at the end of the day, if small accounts like ours aren’t hyping up this conference, you know the mainstream media won’t either.

Big East or die baby.
