My parents moved to a new home 10 years ago after retiring. I live in a 1990’s home and I want a new kitchen (home value ~$2M)

@ChrisMartzWX You can buy a 10 year old Honda Civic and it will get you from A to B. Anything beyond that is about preference and choice. We have a Tesla and I like it for daily commuting and using FSD when I don’t want to drive. Also have an F150. Cost is probably a wash, it’s choice.

@TheSickBuddy @GuyTalksFinance Many ways to build wealth. Say the house is worth $500k. You could rent it for say $3500/mo and have $42k in income, minus expenses. Or sell, put in market at 8%, and have $40k income. One has repair/depreciation risks, the other has market risks.
