We are a community interest group who have come together to realise our vision for Bridestones Moor: To restore the land for nature and for people ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐
Climate change and the loss of biodiversity threatens every part of the planet. But it is something we can address by acting locally.
Our vision is to create a community-owned nature reserve in one of our most exceptional wild places. ๐งต
We have been sent some amazing pictures of the aurora borealis up at Bridestones last night! Thanks to Andy for sharing.
We'll see you tomorrow at the AUCTION - SATURDAY 12th OCTOBER, 2-4pm, Natural Endings, Rise Lane, Todmorden.

If youโve ever wondered what a near-pristine piece of blanket bog looks like - this is it!
Over 200 years, weโve lost/severely damaged >99% of our raised bogs & >87% of our blanket bogs. Hereโs hoping the fab work across our peatlands happening now can help get us back here!๐ฑโค๏ธ

Last night we carried out a moth survey of Bridestones Moor using two portable moth traps on the moor itself, and one generator-powered Robinson trap in the conifer plantation to the west. ๐งต

The rest were generalists, including a huge number of hawk moths including Elephant, Small Elephant, Poplar and Lime. Overall a very good night. We have to thank the warm temperature of around 20 deg C at 10pm when the traps were switched on, and only a slight breeze. 3/4
