@JeffSmithGolf You are making this point after Cam has missed 6 straight major cuts?
JT is a shell of what he once was. Everyone is very aware of that lol.
@BrendanPorath The antithesis to last week where “nothing was happening but everything is happening.” Feelings like everything is happening but nothing is happening.
@JasonSobelGolf@BobHarig There’s a big difference in giving a definitive number on what he should have shot vs. saying he felt like he had some bad breaks. Pros don’t think about what exact score it should have been as it doesn’t matter.
@zagnut@KylePorterNS He’s not that good of a golfer yet beyond hitting it far and is a 10 handicap chipper. Hitting it far got him into the position to get into the Masters and got exposed at a course that doesn’t reward JUST distance (most pro courses do). It really is proving Kyle’s point, and Freds
@RedHarrington44 Kids can get into golf without Fred allowing cheap entertainment on its premises. He is speaking to the brand of The Masters and how it should be associated with traditions and professionalism. Kids aren’t going to the Masters now because they saw Dude Perfect lol. They’re rich.
@LenHochberg It is quite literally not in their job description to talk to the press; hence the macro discourse of whether that should change.
It benefits the player (sponsor visibility) and good relationship with press/tour as it currently stands.
So, ya. Shane didn’t have to but he did.
