"It's a sad day for #Blackburn#Rovers and it's a sad day for the squad of our era. My memories of him are his sense of humour. He had that glint in his eye."
Tim Flowers and @kevingallacher8 remember the great Tony Parkes

Blackburn Rovers mourn more than a former player, coach, or manager.
They mourn a true servant, a symbol of dedication, and a legend whose legacy will never fade.
Rest in peace, Tony Parkes from all at @BRFPA
Across generations, he remained a constant presence at Ewood Park, a man whose influence stretched far beyond tactics and team sheets. His contribution helped shape the soul of the club.

He didn’t chase headlines; he earned respect. His connection with the fans, the players, and the town ran far deeper than results on a pitch — he represented continuity, identity, and heart.
Across generations, he remained a constant presence at Ewood Park, 3/5
Whenever the club needed stability, humility, and quiet strength, he was there — not for recognition, but because it was his club.
Often called upon in moments of uncertainty, Tony Parkes guided Blackburn with calm authority and deep understanding. 2/5
Tony Parkes wasn’t just part of @Rovers — he was Blackburn Rovers.
From pulling on the shirt as a player to dedicating decades behind the scenes as a coach, stepping up time and again as caretaker,Parkes embodied loyalty in a way modern football rarely sees. 1/5 @lancstelegraph
Sad news today as Tony Parkes, a true Blackburn Rovers legend, has passed away. A loyal servant to the club as player, coach and caretaker manager, his dedication and passion will never be forgotten. Thoughts are with his family and all who knew him. 💙🖤 #RIPTonyParkes
Remembering our former manager & assistant manager, Ray Harford on what would have been his 80th birthday.
Ray’s contribution to our 1992 promotion & 1995 title triumph will never be forgotten.
We were delighted to induct our 1995 Premier League winning team in to our Hall of Fame in April.
It was a joy to welcome back Ian Pearce, Tim Flowers, Mike Newell, Chris Sutton, Bobby Mimms, Colin Hendry, Jeff Kenna, Mark Atkins, Jason Wilcox, Kevin Gallacher & Alan Wright.
@HBerry177 The 94/95 squad was inducted as a squad.
That doesn’t mean that individuals from the squad can’t be inducted separately for their efforts for the club in future years.
@HBerry177 Hi Harry. We’ll be sharing some official photos from the evening very soon.
We will also be keeping supporters up to date with events on x, Facebook & a new website in the near future.
It was wonderful to have so many of the former players back together for a special night.
"We were a team feared across the land, and that was because of Jack and the infrastructure and squad he built."
@chris_sutton73 and Ian Pearce have every right to celebrate a glorious piece of history.
Three men and a trophy. And what a trophy! 🏆
