@RexHudler1 thanks for giving @therossporter a shout out during the Royals-Cincy game tonight. I also grew up listening to Mr. Porter, first at KNBC then the @Dodgers games. A great broadcaster and fine gentleman.
@stevengregory Good job, Gascon! Only in LA where they elect a DA that sounds like Kermit the Frog (although Kermit would actually be a better choice for the job!)
The “Tesla Road Rage” guy who was sentenced to 5 years in prison for his “reign of terror” on LA freeways-George Gascón failed to inform the victims of the plea & sentencing and failed to allow them an opportunity to make victim impact statements in court. This is what happens when you have a DA who has never even handled one case let alone worked personally with victims and families to present victim impact.
We cannot last 4 more years with Gascón. We can’t. He’s completely abandoned victims, survivors and surviving families. Gascon’s policies continue to revictimize our survivors of crime and their family members. We must have a change.
Gascón on Sep 14, 2020 during his campaign: “victims of crime need the utmost care and consideration.” We need a DA focused on supporting victims, one who has actually supported victims his entire life through actions, not a DA only interested in winning elections and getting media headlines.
Almost $20k stolen! The popular DTLA taco restaurant, Guerilla Tacos, is struggling to stay alive after masked thieves snatched thousands in a smash-and-grab burglary. These commercial burglaries are squeezing the life out of the businesses in our community. That’s why when one of these criminals is caught, they need to be held strictly accountable.

In the first three weeks of LA County’s $0 bail policy, 42 people who were arrested in LA City for felonies & were released on $0 bail re-offended. That’s at least 42 people or businesses that didn’t need to become victims. 42 people who matter.
And, three weeks in not even close to long enough to determine if a county wide plan is actually working.
Also, the new bail policy has already added a significant burden to already short staffed and under funded police departments.
Public safety should always remain our top priority.
The Organized Retail Theft Task Force, the one where George Gascón wasn’t even invited to attend or be a part of, has announced 89 arrests in the last five weeks, some repeat offenders, and 6 firearms recovered. Gascón was asked how many of those arrested are facing prosecution-to date, Gascón has given “no response.”
Obviously, public safety and transparency aren’t a priority for Gascón.
NO COPS ALLOWED. That’s the confirmed policy of the bakery chain Reem’s. One of our officers was denied service last weekend because he was in uniform. Reem’s confirms that they will not serve anyone armed and in uniform. Presumably, this includes members of the US Military.
Another mob theft in California today, this time at a Macy’s. Because of broken state laws, these crimes are considered “non-serious” and “non-violent” & nobody will go to state prison. Diminished deterrence fuels criminal chaos. #California#Crime#RetailTheft#FixProp47
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer, a Republican, offered a sharp rebuke Friday of Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and District Attorney George Gascon's policies pertaining to public safety and criminal justice.
In a statement, Spitzer wrote:
"No one mentioned today at the news conference held by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is how we got here in the first place," said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer. "It is the inept and lax policies championed by the state Legislature and other elected officials like Mayor Bass and Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon that has led to decriminalization, decarceration and zero bail, which has created this unrest and emboldened these organized crews not only in Los Angeles but permeates throughout Southern California”
No. Crime is not down. Reported crime is. Why? People have stopped calling due to officers being understaffed and overburdened. By the time many officers get to a call the victim and suspects are gone. Also people know the criminals we arrest will get out before the ink dries on our reports so they are losing hope. Two fixes; reverse these criminal friendly laws, and join the police department. Your cities need you. Stop complaining and help us out.
LA DA #GeorgeGascon has declined to file failure to register as a sex offender charges against Calese Carron Crowder, who has a history of sex crimes and other offenses

Man recently accused of sexually stalking women at Burbank Barnes & Noble just released.
So, a convicted stalker who has been arrested and booked over 40 times, served time in prison, and has a long history of sexual peeping, prowling and home burglaries was just released back into our communities after sexually harassing numerous innocent patrons at Barnes n Noble.
I’m not sure how this is prioritizing public safety?
Appreciate her passion, but LA Mayor Bass can’t fix the rampant crime in Los Angeles or CA without addressing broken state laws/policies. A day after she stated the latest high-profile retail mob thieves would be held strictly accountable, one was arrested on low level felonies, not a single serious or violent felony or robbery, and then immediately released from jail on zero bail. People have lost faith in justice, for good reason. We need a reset. #Crime #California #RetailTheft #ZeroBail
This right here is how Gascón’s policies are affecting innocent Angelenos. People committing violent crimes, being released early under Gascon’s policies, and then re-victimizing other innocent Angelenos.
Time to vote Gascón out!
