BENEFITS OF ABSTAINING FROM FORNICATION
Dear young singles,
Is waiting until marriage worth it?
Many of us have asked ourselves that question at one point in life.
Some people believe abstaining from sex before marriage is outdated.
Others believe it is one of the wisest decisions a person can make.
So, what can we gain by waiting?
Can choosing purity make a difference in our lives, our relationships, and our future marriages?
Let us reflect on some of the benefits of abstaining from fornication.
1) PEACE OF MIND
Choosing purity can give us peace of mind.
It can protect us from many unnecessary fears, including unplanned pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, and the guilt that often follows sexual sin.
There is peace in knowing that we are walking in obedience to God.
2) A GOOD REPUTATION
A good reputation takes years to build but can be damaged in a moment.
Many gifted young people have lost their good names because of sexual immorality.
Although God forgives those who repent, some consequences may remain for a lifetime.
When we choose sexual integrity, we protect our character and preserve a testimony that honours God.
Joseph is a good example of a young man who chose purity over temptation, and God honoured him.
3) GREATER EMOTIONAL STABILITY
Sex creates a deep emotional bond.
When a sexually involved relationship comes to an end, the emotional pain is often much deeper.
Waiting until marriage allows a relationship to grow through friendship, trust, communication, and shared values before physical intimacy.
4) TIME TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Courtship gives two people the opportunity to discover whether they are suitable for marriage.
When sex becomes the focus of a relationship, important conversations are often neglected.
Waiting gives us time to know each other's faith, character, values, vision, family background, and future plans.
It also helps us know whether we are loved for who we are or for what we can offer physically.
5) PROTECTION FROM MANY PAINFUL CONSEQUENCES
Sexual immorality can leave lasting scars.
It can lead to sexually transmitted infections, unplanned pregnancies, broken trust, emotional wounds, and regrets that affect many lives.
God's commands are not given to deny us joy.
They are given to protect us.
6) IT GLORIFIES GOD
God has called us to live holy lives.
"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality."
1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
When we honour God with our bodies, we bring glory to His name.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."
Proverbs 16:25
If any of us have fallen into sexual sin, we are not beyond God's mercy.
Jesus Christ still forgives.
He still restores.
He still gives new beginnings.
The consequences of some choices may remain, but His grace is always available to those who repent and turn to Him.
As we read this, may we not think only about someone else.
May God use His Word to search our own hearts first.
If these truths can help someone else walk in purity, they can help us as well.
Let us not only encourage others to honour God.
Let us also choose to honour Him with our own lives.
The man with an interesting life doesn’t chase women.
His life does the chasing for him.
Every experience gives him better stories.
Every challenge builds confidence.
Every win raises his value.
Attraction is a byproduct of a life well lived.
A student asked me:
"What was the thing that made it click for you in trading?"
My answer surprised him:
"There wasn't one."
Trading doesn't click.
It compounds.
Every mistake you stop making...
Every bad trade you avoid...
Every unnecessary decision you eliminate...
One day you look back and realise you're no longer the trader you used to be.
Give a man free sex, entertainment, and comfort, and he’ll forget his goals.
Give him pain and heartbreak, and he’ll feel like conquering the world.
Dear son, hard times are a blessing, not a curse.
When you start making money, spend a lot of money on the things you use daily: laptop, desk, chairs, bed, toothbrush, healthy food, clothes, and gym membership. This will help level you up 10x faster.
Trading is not for everyone.
You need:
- Confidence
- Consistency
- Self-discipline
- Self-awareness
- 3-5 years of daily battles against yourself
Trading is not for weak people.
Money is killing 90% of traders.
Do yourself a favour:
- 0% focus on money
- 100% focus on risk and execution
You trade 10x better when you stop focusing on money.
They call you lazy.
They call you crazy.
They call you stupid.
You lose for 5 years.
You win everything back in 1 year.
You earn their annual salary in 1 month.
They call you lucky.
As a man, the most GANGSTA thing you can do as a man is get mad at yourself for wasting your potential and then rebuild your entire life from that ANGER. Don't ever settle. You're made for more.
A lazy man gives up in a day.
A motivated man gives up in a week.
A disciplined man achieves anything he sets his mind to.
Be a disciplined man.
It's the only way out.
One impulsive trade rarely ruins a career.
The habit behind it does.
Habits become identity.
Identity shapes decisions.
Decisions shape your future.
Never underestimate a single broken rule.
