@kausmickey There is an option that is anathema to my generation: Skip college, get a job, and forget about accreditation until its necessary to get ahead. At least, look at Mike Rowe's foundation. The world is different than 1992!

@kausmickey I graduated from UW Madison and Michigan Law School. What do alumni care about most? Sports! Michigan sports is a cesspool. Duke just bought UW's best basketball player for $6 million or so. Meanwhile, they sit on endowments worth billions but keep raising tuition. Insane!

@kausmickey If you forego the cost of education and do jobs that won't be eliminated by AI, why wouldn't you go that route? It's because my generation tells the smartest to go to college (the cost of which has become prohibitive). Then you get a degree and expect to become wealthy.

@kausmickey The zeitgeist says go to college. You spend a couple of hundred thousand to get a degree that proves to be worthless. You become imbittered or go to law school.

Why not listen to Mike Rowe now? Forget an education that pushes weird ideologies and work on something people need?

From everything I have read, The Odyssey is a great movie, but it is not true to the source material. I don't need to know much more, do I? Is it better than the Hail Mary Project? I will be taking my dear daughter to see the movie with me within a week.
