Thank you to Paul Krugman, Heather Cox Richardson, and others who reminded me this morning that another great dictator, Adolph Hitler, also commissioned plans for a grand “Hall of Honor” mean to impress foreign diplomats and visitors. Sound hauntingly familiar?
The average price of a gallon of gasoline hit $4.06 yesterday.
There is no plan to end, nor even conduct the war w/Iran.
18 service women and men have died since the war began. Hundreds have been injured and denied proper treatment.
And so it goes on day 146 of Trump’s folly.
According to the verbally fluent Donald Trump in his misaddress to the nation last evening, "Two years ago, our country was dead. Now, we are the hottest country anywhere in the world. America is respected like we have never been respected before."
PEW says otherwise.
The US had a great soccer team. We deserved better than the distraction caused by Trump. How differently might they have played thinking they had been treated unfairly with Balogun's red card? The political fallout of Trump's meddling took the wind out of their sails. F47
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times, well, I must have been one of those who voted for Trump and now regret it.

Cede control over the Strait of Hormuz to Iran.
Invade Cuba. Start construction on a luxury Trump branded resort (with no taxpayer funds of course, just like the gilded ballroom).
MAKE TRUMP RICHER AND YOU POORER
The Republican platform for the midterms, #3
Give millions to convicted insurrectionists and rioters who stormed the Capitol in 2021 as well as other Trump loyalists who claim they were persecuted by mean people who didn’t like Trump.
Bury the Epstein files.
The Republican platform for the midterms, #2
Grant absolute immunity for Donald Trump and his family from IRS audits in the past, now, and in the future. For perpetuity as long as his progeny continue to spawn.
The Republican platform for the midterms, #1
Make Trump richer and make you poorer.
Declare absolute fealty to Trump (with a 34% approval rating mind you).
Grant and condone Trump’s “continuing” ability to trade stocks and make hundreds of millions of dollars on insider info.
for their actions on Jan. 6. Acting AG Todd Blanche said “Anybody can apply” during his testimony before a Senate subcommittee on Tuesday. No oversight, no accountability, and secrecy for those who will be paid.
Defend that in your White House briefing, J.D. Vance . . .
In simplest terms, the DOJ has created a slush fund for Trump officials, a THUG FUND, a NEPPO BABY exemption, to dole out billions to his political allies and supporters who were prosecuted during the last administration, and that could very well include those who were convicted
So, what we end up with is a deal between Donald Trump, the president, and Donald Trump, a former private citizen (convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records) to create a $1.8 billion fund to be distributed with NO OVERSIGHT other than that of Trump appointees
Trump officials orchestrated the creation of the fund after the president formally withdrew his lawsuit, thereby PREVENTING THE FEDERAL JUDGE in the case, Kathleen M. Williams, from ruling on the well-regarded as dubious settlement agreement.
The Deptof (non)Justice agreed Monday to settle a $10 billion lawsuit brought by the pres against the IRS, by establishing a $1.776 billion fund to provide what the dept says will be “a systematic process to hear & redress claims of others who suffered weaponization and lawfare”
Earlier this year, Trump also bought between $1 million and $5 million in Dell stock, and then nine days later, in a speech in Georgia, told people to “go out and buy a Dell computer.” Hmm, what do we call that? Is it market manipulation or pump and dump? Pump and Dump Trump.
Truthfully, the conflicts of interest and personal corruption by this president, his family, and those in his administration are nothing short of outlandish.
Earlier this year, Trump purchased a sizable amount of Nividia stock, up to $5 million worth, right before the AI chipmaker received permission to export its advanced H200 AI processors to China. Nvidia’s stock shot up and Trump earned a tidy profit from his insider trading.
Péter Magyar, who will replace Hungary’s Viktor Orban after winning the election in a blowout, revealed yesterday that Orbán was using government money to finance CPAC.
So, it appears that CPAC was funded by a foreign government that was working closely with Vladimir Putin.
On Feb 24, the President bragged about gas at $2.30 a gal & claimed his predecessor allowed gas to go over $6 in some states.
4/8, the avg. price of gas nationally was $4.16-an 81% jump. And in many locales in CA was above $6.
