Sorry, but that’s wrong. The 4.1% increase is based on average earnings and is considerably higher than inflation. And as you mentioned the Tories, they failed to honour the triple lock in 2022/23.

@BrianWill26 That's a routine inflation-based annual increase worth considerably less than the actual rate of inflation, & is currently set by Tory legislation which presumably she hasn't yet had time (or the nerve) to change. Not an increase in real terms, especially given the loss of WFA
