We’re heading into another day at the @SummitAmericas – it’s our last one here, and we’ve got meetings with more leaders and partners. We’ll discuss what more we can do to build a better future for people across the Americas and around the world. I’ll keep you posted here.
Inflation is a global challenge. No one country can solve inflation borne of an historic global pandemic and a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
But we can mitigate its impact on Canadians.
Putin’s war is fuelled by disinformation, which makes the role of journalists more essential than ever before.
We must protect the safety and freedom of our press.

Indigenous communities have distinct histories and diverse customs, spiritualities, and languages. This month and every month, let’s take time to learn more about local Indigenous history – and let’s walk the path of reconciliation together and build a better future.
Today marks #DefeatDepression Day – when Canadians across the country come together in support of mental health programs and services. To everyone who took part in walks and runs this month, and to @MoodDisordersCa for organizing this national campaign: Thank you.
My heart breaks for everyone affected by the horrific shooting in Texas today. I’m thinking of the parents, the families, the friends, the classmates, and the coworkers whose lives have been forever changed – Canadians are mourning with you, and are here for you.

People like Kate and Gardy, who work hard and save money, should be able to afford a home. For too many, though, that hasn’t been the case. That’s why we’re taking action to make housing more affordable by increasing the supply, helping people save, and curbing speculation.
I just spoke with President @ZelenskyyUa. I reiterated Canada’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people – and let him know we’re sending over more military equipment. We’ll keep working to make sure Ukraine has the support it needs, and to hold Russia to account.
Happening now: I’m joining Premier @JJHorgan to announce funding for the #InvictusGames2025, and to speak about how we’ll support Canadian veterans who want to compete in the Games. Watch our announcement live for more information: https://t.co/updVfquh1R
Putin’s decision to expel Canadian media from Moscow is an attempt to silence them from reporting the facts, and it is unacceptable. Journalists must be able to work safely – free from censorship, intimidation, and interference. That is something Canada will always stand up for.
This time last week, I was on my way to Ukraine. While there, we saw destruction and carnage – as well as the determination and courage of Ukrainians. And because our support for them remains steadfast, we also announced more military assistance and humanitarian aid.
It’s #NationalNursingWeek and on behalf of all Ontarians, I want to thank all nurses for everything you do.

Nurses are the backbone of Ontario’s health care system and we salute you for your dedication through the pandemic. Thank you.
Thanks for the good food and warm welcome, Kung and Chhay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place than Phuket Royal to grab some lunch. As we celebrate #AsianHeritageMonth, let’s continue to support the Asian Canadian-owned businesses we know and love.
Pope Francis will visit Canada from July 24th to 29th, to formally deliver the Roman Catholic Church’s apology for its role in operating residential schools that caused lasting pain and suffering for Indigenous Peoples across the country.
