@HMRCcustomers 0300 200 3701 is the VAT Online Services number - it has the message on that I have referred to. I am just unsure as to what do I do? I have all my VAT figures ready there is just no method that I can submit them??!!

@HMRCcustomers My VAT return is now 9 days overdue; XERO won’t submit; error messages and codes; I have tried phoning the helpline 3 times today and on hold continuously before being cut off. Please advise - can I send an email re the above?

@HMRCcustomers Good Afternoon. Re VAT submission due on 7 December. HMRC clearly had a fault on that weekend. Xero still won’t submit my VAT return due on 07 Dec. VAT Helpline says HMRC are aware of problems and advise users not to phone. My VAT return still won’t submit. Do I phone or wait?

@HMRCcustomers Dear @HMRCcustomers I have tried submitting the VAT repeatedly today and each time it appears with various error messages. The posts on here show numerous users all having the same problems yet HMRC saying service available. No way of contacting HMRC before the VAT deadline.

@MenziesBj @HMRCcustomers Thank you @MenziesBj I have tried everything - reset the connection to HmRC from my software etc etc - still the same error message. I’ve been reading this thread and they say it’s just the volume of submissions but we always send it on 7th and never normally have a problem…😬
