Honestly might jump ship soon. This site has never been the best for this bestiary anyways, so with the recent news, completely cutting off from it might be the way to go.

A man so infamous the Devil himself went to take him to Hell, but those events, from trapping the Devil in his pocket with a crucifix to trapping the Devil in an apple tree surrounded by them, led to Jack's eternal unrest. Never shall the man known as Stingy Jack find finality.

A consumer of the dead who roams with rancid breath, awaiting the scent of the deceased. When described with a long tongue, it is said to extend it at great length to lick away its chosen meal.

A descending predator, accelerated by the lubricant-like drool seeping from the corners of its mouth. It will flatten and uproot trees on its way down to swallow its prey whole, from deer to lumberjack, to entire groups of tourists.

A test of media literacy to some, the story of dwindling population of Washington's tree octopuses is likely one of Lyle Zapato's most famous works. Quite dexterous, these semi-aquatic cephalopods are described as well suited to their treetop homes, swinging between branches.

A late 18th century hoax of a giant carnivorous plant capable of eating a human being. The bowl-like formations atop its center seem to leak clear, syrupy and sweet liquid of sensational captivation of the senses. Supposedly when this fluid was consumed, the tree would strike.

A 2ft (0.6m) industrious brownie, not to be angered. One tale involves the death of her son. Tricked by an intruder and mortally wounded by a whole pot of boiling water.
When she learned of truth, Maggy got so mad she threw a stool at the culprit with lethal force.

Enormous oceanic arachnids, lurking on the seabed below. They drag their prey down, then consume them in their entirety.

A yokai that expects only faithfulness in love, even should she disappear without a word. Surprisingly warm-hearted despite her chilling nature.

Her immortal head is either killed with a golden sword from Athena, or pinned beneath a boulder.

By dipping his arrows into her blood Heracles' obtained his poisoned arrows.
