Recently published an article analyzing the quality of information on cannabis for chronic pain available on YouTube. A huge thank you to Dr. @Ryan_S_DSouzaMD for his fantastic mentorship, and the team for their incredible work on this project! #ChronicPain
My FM preceptor, Dr. Rider, always gave out tidbits of wisdom which he jokingly referred to as Rider Rules throughout my 4 week rotation with him. Let’s just say, I gave him a frame with his Rider Rules as a thank you gift for his amazing mentorship. He loved it!
Big milestone - published my first paper as lead author! Collaborated with an amazing team led by @Ryan_S_DSouzaMD to investigate the quality and reliability of acupuncture information for chronic pain on YouTube. Check out the full findings: https://t.co/9Lu8TJ4AqC

Today, I was hanging out in my FM preceptor’s office when I stumbled on his first aid book from 20 years ago! All of his notes still completely intact wowww. was blown away for sure.

Yesterday, I received the gold humanism award alongside some of my classmates. Pursuing anesthesiology for me goes beyond the amazing OR medicine dynamics, it’s holding the hand of one patient at a time, leading them through their most vulnerable life moment. #empathyalwayswins
I just tried to explain what an anesthesiologist does in the OR to a 6 year old and he goes “well, I think that’s easy…” I had no comeback for that 😅. Btw it’s easy as long as everything goes smoothly! GAS is life.
Happy holidays everyone!
Proud to share my narrative medicine essay published in @STFM_FM

Hey Anesthesia world. What are your thoughts on wireless BP, pulse ox, temp, and ekg leads in the OR?
Do you think we’ll ever get there?
My resident today, said they don’t think so just because we depend on these parameters so much!
Thoughts?🧐
We held two amazing “Acing the Med School Interview” sessions at the UTMB Premed Conference yesterday. Shoutout to these amazing panelists for volunteering their time and wisdom to help over 150 future physicians! @UTMBProvost@utmbhealth@utmbnews
