@ProfessorBenne1 It's the house that actually has the solar roof in the photo. Instead of solar panels, the solar cells are built into the roofing itself!
Although I would love one for the car too!
I expected someone to have a problem with the way solar panels look on their home, but no one admitted that. I still want to leave a picture of a Tesla Solar Roof, admittedly what I would like to have on my future home. No Panels! #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 Oh that would be cool!!...when night hits and I want to run all my energy I have a button on my wall that says "press to disco" and bam my ceiling (thanks to the panels) give this differnt light effect of a disco light show all throughout my house.SOLD! #BrightFuture
Thank you all the classmates who came and discussed this issue. Every greenhouse gas source we can remove from the planet is a better life for all of us! And if everyone acts with this mindset, it'd be a great place for all pretty quickly. Hope you all have a #BrightFuture!
@VillalpaAriana Haha we'll all get our own nuclear plant! And that's fair. For my personal answer; I wish the panel or roof would give off a little light show when absorbing energy. It'll use some of the power yeah, but it'd look cool! Haha #BrightFuture
Q5. Are there improvements you would want to see happen to solar tech that you think would make solar energy more mainstream? Brainstorm here; no ideas are too crazy or impossible! #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 Q5: um my nuclear power idea#BrightFuture ha jk...I think I would have to more research on it overall to see what I would want to change.
@Yemin78698395 I'm glad you got new information. The U.S have really tried to lower the high entry cost to make solar more affordable. Heck in some places, you can set it up as a utility and pay no initial cost! The opportunities are endless! #BrightFuture
Q4. Are you aware of your state and federal programs that reduce or rebate the cost of solar? If not, here's a handy guide: https://t.co/HBcoDbBgvU #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 A4: I got new information. It receives a tax deduction, the initial cost is low, and the procedure is simple. That's an amazing development. It improved the problem and made it easier for many people to use it. #BrightFuture
@VillalpaAriana That sounds funny as heck, and I could see someone deciding "screw it all I want nuclear power" . I will have to look that story up thank you for that haha! #BrightFuture
@VillalpaAriana When you run a solar system, excess solar energy can be sold back to the electricity company and it is used to power other people's homes. Or you can by a battery storage system, and seperate yourself from the grid entirely! In that instance, you'd keep it all! #BrightFuture
@daniela63726428 Yes, the cost is the biggest drawback on solar. I fully believe and support in hydro and wind power as renewable energy sources, but for the residential home, solar is the most applicable source of renewable energy to be used #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 A3. lets see, technologically, on a cost per Watt basis, solar energy is the most expensive electricity-generation method when compared to hydro, coal, nuclear and even wind power. #BrightFuture
@Yemin78698395 Yes, while it is the renewable energy source most affected by weather, even while cloudy and storming your system will take in the sunlight that makes it through the clouds. And a battery storage system helps you keep the charge until you need it. #BrightFuture
@VillalpaAriana Of course the cost is what scares a lot of us, but with the rebates available, and the savings we get back from not paying our electricity bill you can save a lot in the long run! #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 A3: The cost! lol and I guess maybe storing it can be expensive too?....you see why I said hopefully 5 years lol Im hoping I can afford it in 5 years haha. #BrightFuture
@BrightFuture814 A2: Five years later, it will become more common than now. Solar power is also the foundation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. So it will develop gradually. It requires a large space to install, but in five years, that part will be improved. #BrightFuture
