Nitro, the @IndyFuel mascot, welcomed students to school this morning at @IPSBrookside54 ✋

He also led students through a breathing exercise in partnership between the Fuel and @BrightlaneLearn for their game on Dec. 29 when they’ll introduce “Hockey Talks” to help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

We finished out the final week of our educational camp learning about engineering with 5th-7th graders. Students created marshmallow launchers & then planned out and constructed models for their egg drop project. Our staff & tutors were so impressed with the kids’ creativity! 🥚

Prior to the summer break, The Washington Woods Elementary School Student Lighthouse Leaders organized a book sale at their school that raised over $500. They donated all proceeds to Brightlane Learning, plus all the leftover books. Thank you, WWES Student Lighthouse Leaders! 📚

Students loved exploring the subject of water ecology during last week's educational camp at @MatchbookLearn! They made models of the water cycle, created their own water filters, and created watersheds and used spray bottles and cups of water to observe where water flows.

We loved having local artist Nasreen Khan visit our educational camp at Matchbook Learning last week! Students went on a nature walk & collected all sorts of items. When they got back, they got to unleash their creativity & create art using the items they gathered 🍃 🌸
