One thing I’ve noticed about our generation is that many people want the rewards of hard work but despise the process of working. We want good salaries, big opportunities, comfortable lives and financial freedom, but we are quick to dismiss humble beginnings and opportunities that don't immediately match our expectations.

Never despise an honest opportunity because it seems too small, too ordinary or beneath your qualifications. Take the job, learn the skill, volunteer, gain experience and build connections.

Not every opportunity will pay you immediately, but every experience can teach you something valuable.

Your breakthrough might be hiding in an opportunity you are currently looking down on. Start somewhere. Work your way up.
