NEW: Years before he started being investigated at Fort Hood for allegedly secretly recording his patients, an Army gynecologist was at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii when an Army spouse recalls he repeatedly urged her to allow him to check her cervix.
During the exam, he had his phone camera pointing out of his pocket towards her, she recalls. The exam — which she'd tried to decline — was so rough that her water broke.
"He said to me with a wink and a smile, ‘We’re having a baby today.'"
“One day," she told CNN, "my son will ask me about when he was born, and I don’t want to talk about it ... He took that from me."

A source: the outburst followed frustrating interactions the couple had with hospital staff after the combat vet husband saw the doctor recording his Army officer wife during a vaginal ultrasound last month at Fort Hood.
