One of the joys of my work is getting to write about and draw some of the weirder species with whom we share our home.

For example… this week I got to draw this Male, Malagasy Leaf Nosed snake.

They’re whip thin, grow to not much more than a metre long, spend basically all their lives in the trees, and being non venomous are basically harmless.

See, not all snakes are scary!!

NB: They’re “harmless” unless of course you’re a lizard in which case disregard this, they’re very much harmful to you guys… see that dangling vine? It might be a snake!

But more to the point, how are you reading this, you’re a lizard, how do you read and why are you on X?

So many questions.

Private commission for an Italian Restaurant - will be a HUGE illustration.

It's nice flitting back and forth between the work for my next Penguin Random House UK book and this private commission.

I can't wait to get stuck into this one, it'll be full of energy and movement, and the different angles of the two Indian Peafowl will show off the full range of incredible colour and pattern in their plumage.

Should be a goodun.

Hell, I might even bust out the gold and silver leaf and gild the thing.

Will provide further updates as we go along.
