Be aware that Ford Ranger has a issue with gearboxes blowing up. It will cost you $6000-$9000 to replace/rebuild, and when it happened to me @FordAustralia denied all responsibility.

@RohdeBeitzel @FordAustralia Yep, at least triton build their gearboxes with an external cooler, which @FordAustralia doesn’t have and that’s part of the problem.

Hilux, Dmax or Triton are a better choice.

There’s more than a dozen forums about Ford Ranger gearbox problems on Reddit alone. I wish I’d know before I bought 1 and had my gearbox blowup, costing up to $9000, @FordAustralia refused to fix.
