Many autistic people have so much anxiety because, from a young age, we’re taught that our natural differences, as well as innocent things we do for ourselves (and things we can’t do), can anger other people and result in them punishing us, even when they’re not affected by them.

@libbybakalar @tamarranicole I warned the anesthesiologist that I was going to throw up because I had HG & threw up all pregnancy. He got condensing & told me that I wouldn’t because things that make you throw up during pregnancy are different than in surgery. I threw up on him 3 times.

A lot of people really cannot conceptualize poverty. They cannot grasp that people really don’t have enough money and resources to survive, have housing, transportation, food and healthcare..

To them, poor people are misspending their money.. when really they never had it.
