@GB_Baseball U15 delivered a comprehensive team performance to record a 17–2 victory over Sweden in Game Three of their tour, building on the momentum gained from a narrow one-run win in the previous fixture.

From the opening pitch, Great Britain played with purpose combining productive offence, disciplined pitching and solid defence to secure their most convincing result of the tour so far.

@GB_Baseball Women’s National Team took part in a landmark weekend on June 6th and 7th on home soil, welcoming new friends from across the pond and the Channel.

Farnham Park was the destination for GB Baseball’s first-ever WBSC sanctioned event, meaning the results of the weekend would have a direct impact on the world rankings.

Alongside a development side, the British roster hosted a familiar foe in the Czech Republic National Team as well as Baseball For All – a team from the United States of America, led by pioneer Justine Siegal.

BBF Umpires Rachel Clarke and John Baxendale were part of a 3-person crew last week at the WBSC Europe Federation Cup Qualifiers in Hungary. Both were given incredibly positive feedback as they showcased their expertise and knowledge of rules.

GB Women’s first-ever WBSC sanctioned event is just around the corner and the newly released schedule is promising an action-packed weekend.

Alongside GB Women’s adult and development teams, the invitational tournament will see the Czech Women’s adult national team and two Baseball For All teams, supported by Justine Siegel and Lizz Benn, compete over the course of two days.

Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June marks @MLB PlayBall Weekend, a weekend dedicated to children playing baseball across the globe.

Events will be taking place in Japan, Egypt, the Dominican Republic, India, Australia and many other countries around the world, with Greenwich Giants hosting the only official MLB PlayBall event in Europe at the University of Greenwich’s Avery Hill campus on Saturday 6 June.

The British Baseball Federation (BBF) is proud to announce that June’s @GB_Baseball Women’s Baseball Invitational Tournament has received official sanction from the world governing body, the World Baseball Softball Confederation @WBSC

The tournament is the first event in Great Britain’s baseball’s history to receive this recognition.

It will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June 2026 at the Farnham Park National Baseball and Softball Complex, Slough.

After recently returning from Spring Training in Holland at the Amsterdam Pirates baseball complex, where the @GB_Baseball Women’s National Team - along with members of the development squad - were joined by the Quebec Women’s Baseball Academy, the British Baseball Federation and Great Britain Baseball Team are pleased to announce the 26-player extended roster for this year’s WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers, which will take place in Chinese Taipei this August.

Today marks the 79th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s historic debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

On April 15, 1947, Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s colour barrier, forever changing the game and helping pave the way for greater equality both on and off the field. His courage, resilience, and undeniable talent challenged long-standing racial segregation in professional sports and inspired generations to come.

Robinson’s impact and legacy are forever remembered each year on April 15th, now celebrated across Major League Baseball as Jackie Robinson Day, a day when every player wears his iconic number 42 in tribute to his enduring influence.

Player registration for the 2026 BBF Women’s Baseball League is now open.

The 2026 league has been designed to be flexible, welcoming and competitive whether you are brand new to the sport or experienced.

Events will be held on weekends from May to August with balanced squads being selected from registered players for each event.

Over the next two weekends, baseball teams across the country will celebrate their opening days of the ’26 season. We’d like to remind players, coaches, and spectators about the RESPECT campaign.

This offseason, 310 newly qualified Level 6 umpires completed courses held nationwide, bringing the total number of qualified umpires in Britain to 518.

These new officials, along with those already qualified, deserve respect from everyone involved in the game.

Without their willingness to stand behind home plate, there would be no baseball.

⚾11th April – Croydon
⚾18th April – Cambridge

Try-outs are open to players born in 2014, 2015, or 2016.
