I’m excited to celebrate this milestone the with most amazing lab ! Thank you all so much for your support, scientific advice, friendship, and fun times over the years 😊
Congrats to @BritSchutrum for a fantastic defense of her PhD thesis examining the role of hyaluronic acid in breast cancer invasion! We have been so fortunate to have Brittany in our lab as a scientist, mentor, and friend #PhDone 🎊
Great to catch up with friends and explore Seattle with @FischbachLab at @BMESociety#BMES2023! Enjoyed hearing about the amazing science being done in our community and many thanks to those who made our #PSON inspired special session a success
Organized by terrific current and former @NCIPhySci trainees - wonderful opportunity to learn about exciting science and network with members of a fun community
Are you a physical scientist or engineer in cancer research and attending @BMESociety 2023? There will be a special session on "Integrating engineering and physical sciences in oncology" from 2:00-3:30pm on October 13. Apply to give a flash talk here: https://t.co/Xv0m4H73FU
Bone-matrix mineralization induces a less proliferative phenotype in breast cancer cells, as shown in collagen-based matrices with adjustable mineralization and in mice with xenografted bone matrices seeded with cancer cells.

Super excited to share my first first author publication from my PhD @CornellBME, now out @natBME! Thanks to our collaborators, @FischbachLab, @fischbcl17, and my co-author Siyoung Choi. Check out the thread below!
Thrilled to share that @CornellBME Siyoung Choi and @Matt_AWhit's paper in Nature BME @natBME titled "Bone-matrix mineralization dampens integrin-mediated mechanosignalling and metastatic progression in breast cancer" is now published https://t.co/372FBTxDMI!
Glad to see our review online! We took a broad view of contributors to cancer heterogeneity across length scales. Many of these factors aren't accounted for in current preclinical research but bioengineering approaches will help recapitulate them moving forward 1/4
The focus of this session would be on career development and networking and consist of two keynote presentations, followed by short talks given by trainees highlighting their research. You don’t need to be on an active PS-ON project to attend or be considered for a flash talk!
Hi @NCIPhySci trainees, The PS-ON community is applying to host a Special Session at the 2023 BMES annual meeting. If you are a trainee attending BMES interested in giving a flash talk please fill out this interest form https://t.co/Y42jD89k81
How many PhD students does it take to carve a pumpkin? We found out by celebrating Halloween together as a lab! See the video of our designs (spooky and otherwise) below 🎃
Benoit Lab for Therapeutic Biomaterials reunion at #BMES2022! So proud and thankful for the enrichment and inspiration of these amazing scientists! @ackun_amatata@KhariLAlatise@UOKnightCampus@BritSchutrum shout out to twitterless Nate Silvia, Sue Zhang, Sydney Shannon
It's official! Fischbach Lab is on Twitter. We'll be posting research updates, outreach opportunities, and other lab shenanigans on this account. Run by the group members below 🐠
Friday eye candy for you from the @CornellBME@fischbcl17 Lab. A confocal image of a spheroid made of adipose stromal cells invading into a collagen matrix, care of Ph.D. student @BritSchutrum.
