CHAOS AT THE LIBRARY: People are angry right now after waiting in line for HOURS thinking the Memphis Housing Authority we’re going to give out vouchers to the first 1,000 people.

That is NOT the case.

We are struggling, trying to make ends meet right along with our neighbors.

UPDATE FROM MPD: “An MPD officer was traveling w/b I-240 east of Airways when a pedestrian attempted to run across the interstate. The officer was unable to avoid striking the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene. This investigation is ongoing.”

TRAFFIC ALERT: Pedestrian struck in an MPD involved accident on I-240, all westbound lanes closed at Lamar exit.

All westbound traffic is being diverted to Lamar Ave.

MFD says someone was hit in the westbound lanes of I-240 around 5:45am. That person's condition is unknown.
