The Old Testament is the story of God’s redemption of a people in slavery. This, we can look at it and hope for ourselves that we too might be redeemed. The story of God and his plan for salvation echos through all the nations and is for all of the world.
See the gospel isn’t saying, “I’m better than you.” It is saying, “ I have found water and you look really thirsty. Here’s a drink!” It is about us being a people who come and we drink of the living water of Christ and we go out and we want people to taste and be satisfied.
I don't know the Jesus some have paraded and waved around in the middle of this treachery today. They may be acting in the name of some other Jesus but that's not Jesus of the Gospels.

Romans 13 doesn’t simply mean we submit to the law. It also means, in a representative republic, that we are accountable for the laws we help shape. In a country “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” we are accountable to God for the way we wield this power.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”
