MLA for Kootenay Central. Minister of State for Local Governments and Rural Communities. Former Parl Sec for Tourism & Premier Eby's Special Advisor on Youth
This separatist group helped Kerry-Lynne Findlay narrowly win the leadership race after "conversations with her" about secession. What exactly did she say to them?
There's only one good answer to the question of breaking up Canada: hell no.
This and other iconic #BCParks signs without provincial have been the same since the 1970s.
Actually, Trevor’s BC Liberal party even gave it a facelift without provincial in title in 2005 and 2010.
Wild misinformation from the leader of the BC Conservative party.
Mining isn’t just a rural BC story — it’s a Metro Vancouver story too. With $88 BN in proposed major projects, this study shows the enormous economic opportunity ahead.
Through BC’s Look West strategy, we’re getting shovels in the ground and creating good-paying jobs across BC.
Go back to where you belong? Cafe owner Dooyi Kim belongs right here in #NorthVan, along with all the other amazing community members who contribute so much to our beautiful community. This "customer" is the one who can take her nonsense & go pound sand.

With the Look West jobs plan, British Columbians are punching well above our weight.
Last year our economy grew faster than the national average — with another $88 billion in proposed major projects. We're driving growth for Canada.
How are we building this momentum?
Every year, on April 28th, we come together across British Columbia and Canada for the National Day of Mourning to honour and remember all the hard-working people whose lives were and continue to be forever changed by injury and occupational illness.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister and I agreed we need to work together to get B.C.’s major projects moving.
In B.C. we have $50 billion + in major projects reaching final investment decision in the next 12 months.
This is how we build prosperity for British Columbians.
It was great to be back at AKBLG this year, this time in beautiful in Trail! As a Kootenay MLA and previously a Nelson city councillor, AKBLG always feels like home. Thank you to everyone who came out this year and I look forward to our continued work together.
What a great time touring the Lower Columbia Community Health Centre with @SMorissette57 , Mayor Jones, Dr. Love, Dr. Gelber, Rita MacLeod and others this past weekend.
CHC's play a critical role in strengthening primary care access and are vital in our rural communities.
Infrastructure projects should support local tradespeople and create good-paying jobs — not undercut workers who build our communities.
Proud of our NDP caucus for voting down the Conservatives anti-labour & anti-worker Bill M233 last night.

The war in the Middle East is driving up fuel prices and exposing just how vulnerable global supply chains can be.
That's why we're helping our coastal communities and Coast Guard transition away from diesel fuel and build an economy that can stand on its own. #LookWest

Donald Trump’s loss is BC’s gain.
Thousands of US doctors, nurses and health professionals are applying to work in BC, because our system is based on the needs of the patient — not their ability to pay.
BC now has more doctors per person than anywhere else in Canada.
🛑 But the BC Conservatives have said healthcare would "take the brunt" of their cuts. That would take us backwards and make it harder to get healthcare. That's a risk we can't afford.

We've been laser-focused on increasing access to family medicine - and it's having an impact.
We've attached 600,000 British Columbians to a family doctor or nurse practitioner since 2023.

I was deeply disappointed that Trevor Halford did not call on Hon Chan to resign immediately.
I'm hopeful that BC Conservative MLAs and all leadership candidates will call on him to do that today.
My full statement:
Our friend Gary MacIsaac will be retiring later this year after 19 years as Executive Director of @UBCM. I've had the great pleasure of working with Gary in my role as Minister of State and I wish him all the best in his retirement this fall. Thank you, Gary!
One year ago, our government launched our campaign to attract U.S healthcare professionals. As of today, more than 400 have signed on to work in B.C communities big and small, urban and rural with many more are on the way. #BCHealthCare@Dave_Eby
Donald Trump's loss is BC's gain. 🧑⚕️
We've hired over 400 US healthcare workers in the last year through our targeted recruitment campaign. That's 89 doctors, 260 nurses, 45 nurse practitioners and 23 allied health professionals.

I appreciated the opportunity to speak to the Washington State legislative interns this morning. I’m looking forward to seeing them around the legislature this week and I hope they have an amazing time in Beautiful BC!
Travelling around BC has shown me just how strong our diversity makes us, also just how important it is that we respect & defend the rights of all British Columbians. It’s beyond disappointing that members of the opposition voted yes to a bill that would legalize discrimination.
The BC Human Rights Code exists to protect people from discrimination and exclusion.
I’m appalled that the BC Conservatives support repealing protections for people based on race, gender and ability.
In British Columbia, human rights should never be up for debate.
