Estonians didn’t fight the Nazis like they fought the Soviets, they supported them. It would be right to apologize today and say this was wrong, as others have done

They had to choose a side but that came with consequences. It would be better for Estonia to accept this and apologize than to pretend it didn’t happen

If the Democrats don't make rebalancing and expanding the Supreme Court a top priority for whenever (if?) they next get into power, then I don't know what to say anymore. The GOP-packed court is the biggest block on progress in this country and has been for a while.

@HenriTalks @halbkass I came here to study politics because Estonia is actively working through important and difficult issues. As someone who believes in liberal democratic values that the EU seeks to advance, it saddens me that Estonia is failing to achieve these values

@HenriTalks @halbkass I’m from the US! My family is Jewish and was persecuted by Russians until they were forced to flee. I feel that I relate to Estonians in this suffering, I understand where they’re coming from. But I also admire Estonia for its success and the people for their strength
