@womenwhowheel No one is cutting pensions. They will increase every year but at a more sustainable level.
And don’t you have to make NI contributions for 35 years in order to receive the full state pension already?
I agree with the other points though.
@hct2906 You don’t pay into the state pension. It’s not a pot that sits there until you retire. Your pension is a benefit paid for by taxation. Also, they’re not scrapping the pension. By removing the triple lock they’re making it MORE likely that there will actually be a pension for you
@Bot_Pimp_@Smirkley@Babygravy9 The retraction: Arday and his supporters clarified that he was not talking about the famous ITV documentary. Instead, they claimed he was referring to an informal community initiative organized by Black mothers to track local children.
@Bot_Pimp_@Smirkley@Babygravy9 The original quote: "I was part of a programme, actually... called Seven Up at the time... they follow you at [ages] 7, 14, 21. I was pulled out of the project when I was 14."
@roseveniceallan Exactly. The institutions that propped him up and wheeled him out with no due diligence just to justify their agenda are the ones to blame here.
