⚔️ Developer Diary: New "Attack Speed" System and Combat Mechanics!
We are here with a massive combat system update that will make PvP matchups much fairer, more strategic, and more exciting. We are adding a brand new mechanic to character stats and our equipment system: Attack Speed!
So, what does this new system change, and how will it shake up the balance on the battlefield? Let's take a look at the details together:
📈 What is Attack Speed and How Does it Improve?
The Attack Speed value will initially be added to the base stats of all characters. However, the real difference will be determined by the player's upgrades. This value can be increased through upgrades such as Character Level, Star Level, Items, and Runes. These investments and builds made by the players will directly determine the fate of the matches in the arena.
⚡ Who Will Strike First? (Attack Priority)
With the new system, "attack priority" in matchups gets a completely stat-based and fair structure. For example, in a 4v4 PvP match, the system will instantly scan the Attack Speed values of the 8 characters in the arena and create a ranking from highest to lowest. The player who has the character with the highest Attack Speed value in their deck on the battlefield will make the first move!
●Tiebreaker (If Character Speeds are Equal): If the speed values of the characters with the highest attack speed of both players are equal, the attack speeds of all characters in the players' decks will be summed up. The owner of the deck with the higher total attack speed will be the one to start the battle.
●Tiebreaker (If Total Speeds are Also Equal): If the total attack speed values in both users' decks also turn out to be equal, the system will give priority to the player with the higher number of trophies.
●Tiebreaker (If Trophies are Also Equal): If there is a tie in the number of trophies as well, the system will determine the turn priority completely at random.
🔄 Renewed Dynamic Turn System
When it is the player's turn to move, the character card that will attack in that turn will be automatically determined by the system based on the Attack Speed value (from highest to lowest). The player will only select the target of this activated character and execute their move (basic attack or ability).
Example Scenario: Let's say the attack speeds of the characters in Player 1's deck are 8-7-4-2 respectively, and Player 2's (opponent) deck is 6-5-3-1.
In this matchup, the system ranks all characters according to their speeds from largest to smallest as 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, and the attack order proceeds entirely according to this lineup. So, since the characters with the highest speed values of 8 and 7 are in Player 1's deck, Player 1 attacks 2 times in a row. Then, the enemy player executes their own attacks with their 6 and 5 speed characters. In summary, attack priorities are automatically adjusted by the system entirely based on the Attack Speed statistic the characters possess.
📈 Where Will the Attack Speed Value Get Bonuses From?

●Item collection completion passive traits

●Character level upgrades
●Character star level upgrades
🔥 Upcoming Update Surprise: Ability Dynamics
As you know, in the current system, heroes need to land 4 basic attacks to use their abilities. Our developments regarding this number are continuing at full speed! We are working on an infrastructure where abilities will be used much more dynamically and frequently. Soon, the viewing pleasure of the battles will increase greatly, and the ability moves you make at critical moments will determine the fate of the battle.

Your feedback is invaluable to us. To take the in game feel and visual experience to the next level, we have launched a massive development process! 🚀
Here’s what’s new:
🗡️ Dynamic Weapon System: All of our characters now have their own unique weapons! Our weapons have been made dynamic to perfectly match the colors of each character’s base appearance and their 3 different costume variations.
✨ Stunning VFX and Animations: We have completely revamped the visual effects and animations for both normal attacks and skills. We now offer a much smoother and more enjoyable visual experience.
🎧 Enhanced Sound Design: To further strengthen the combat dynamics, we are designing brand-new sound effects specifically for normal attacks and skills.
🎥 Cinematic Combat Experience: After all of these updates, special camera angles, focus effects, and screen darkening effects will activate when characters use their skills, making you feel as if you are right at the center of the battle.

Endless Clash – Character Reset System
Sometimes the strongest strategy isn't upgrading a new hero — it's reallocating the resources you've already invested.
When you select the Reset option from the menu on the right side of the Character Screen, you'll be taken to the Character Reset interface.
🔄 Recover Your Resources
This system allows you to reset previously upgraded characters and reclaim a large portion of the resources used to strengthen them.
Upgrading heroes requires two valuable resources:
✨ XP Essence
🪙 Gold
Instead of permanently losing those resources when switching to a new character, the Reset System gives players the flexibility to adapt their roster as the game evolves.
💰 What Do You Get Back?
When a character is reset:
✅ 100% of the XP Essence spent on that character is refunded.
✅ 70% of the Gold spent on that character is refunded.
This ensures that your previous progression never feels wasted while still maintaining meaningful upgrade decisions.

Endless Clash – New Update Details
⚔️ Before & After: Character Screen Rework
We've completely redesigned the Character Screen in Endless Clash to match the game's new progression mechanics!
Now, when you tap on a character from the main menu, you'll find three different detail sections. Selecting Upgrade will open the brand-new progression screen shown above.
📈 Level Up Your Heroes
From this screen, you can:
🔹 Increase your character's Level
🔹 Increase your character's Star Rank
Leveling up directly boosts your character's core stats, making them stronger in battle. ⭐ Upgrading Star Rank provides even greater stat increases and unlocks higher progression potential.
💪 Why Star Rank Matters
Keep in mind that a 1-Star character and a 2-Star character are not equal.
Higher Star Ranks provide increased:
🛡️ Defense
⚔️ Attack
❤️ Health
💥 Ability Damage
The higher the Star Rank, the more powerful the character becomes.
In addition, you'll need to increase your character's Star Rank in order to continue progressing to higher levels.
🔄 Character Fusion System
You can increase a character's Star Rank by combining duplicate copies of the same hero.
For example:
⭐ + ⭐ + ⭐ Gravorn → ⭐⭐ Gravorn
⭐⭐ + ⭐⭐ + ⭐⭐ Gravorn → ⭐⭐⭐ Gravorn
Numbers shown above are for demonstration purposes only and may change during balancing and future updates.

When you tap on any character from the main menu, you'll now find three different detail sections designed to give you full control over your hero's progression and customization.
Selecting Information opens the screen shown above.

The Information Screen serves as the central hub for learning more about your hero. Here, you can quickly review all of the essential details before entering battle.
From this screen, you can view:

🔹 Current Star Rank
🔹 Defense Stat
🔹 Attack Stat
🔹 Health Points (HP)
🔹 Ability Damage
🔹 Attack Type (Melee / Ranged)

This allows you to better understand each hero's strengths and weaknesses, making it easier to build the perfect team composition.
🎯 Ability Details
Every character in Endless Clash has a unique ability that can dramatically impact the outcome of a battle.
The Information Screen provides a detailed description of how that ability works, allowing you to plan your strategies more effectively and choose the right heroes for every challenge.
👕 Costume System
You can also access the Costume System directly from this screen.
Each costume offers its own bonus attributes, allowing you to further customize and strengthen your favorite characters.
Depending on the costume, you may receive bonuses such as:
⚔️ Increased Attack
🛡️ Increased Defense
❤️ Additional Health
💥 Increased Ability Damage
These bonuses can significantly improve a character's performance and create different build possibilities.

Want a fresh look for your hero?
All costume management is handled through the Information Screen. You can preview available outfits, compare their bonuses, and switch between them whenever you want.

What we changed and why?
In the first version of the game, we had a total of 8 characters, and once you obtained a character from a Character Box, you could not receive duplicates. In the new version, duplicate characters can now be obtained. These duplicates are used in our new MERGE System, allowing you to combine identical characters to increase their Star Level while still being able to use multiple copies of the same character in battle. For example, combining two 1-Star copies of the same character will create a 2-Star version. Increasing a character's Star Level not only raises its potential level cap but also improves all of its stats.
This is one of the key reasons why the new Character UI was necessary.
Previously, if you owned multiple copies of the same character with identical levels and star ratings, it could be difficult to identify which one had specific Items or Runes equipped. With the new interface, you can clearly see which character has which equipment and runes attached, making it easier to manage your strategy and roster.

5️⃣ UI/UX
Alongside our systemic overhauls, we executed massive UI design sweeps.
Convoluted, multi-step UI flows have been consolidated into single-click systems. For a basic example:
Previously, entering a Dungeon required selecting the Dungeon → arranging your team composition → selecting the map → initiating battle (a 4-step friction point).
In the new framework, team selection is integrated directly into the main menu. Pressing the '+' button opens the roster screen to slot your desired characters, and this loadout is saved until you manually change it. The moment you press 'Dungeon', you immediately load into battle on the current map. By reducing this to 1 step, we keep the player locked in the flow state.
We have mapped and designed numerous new UI interfaces, including:
