Gutted is an understatement - just found a @Beaverbrooks gift card which has had its balance wiped in 2018 😭😭 wish compensation payments were endless! I wish I hadn’t checked it 😂

@NotOnYourNelly7 @JeremyVineOn5 I assume that’s directed at the general public and not me? I’m happy taking it unpaid and my husband has worked the whole time. On the flip side I’m very grateful for the bond I have with my baby, that I wouldn’t have had, had lockdown not happened. No interfering relatives 😂

@NotOnYourNelly7 @JeremyVineOn5 Of course it is, I’m just saying the flip side of no midwife visits and no health visitor visits it’s hard going when your mental health is struggling and no reassurance you’re doing ok! Also babies will have had much more interaction than they will have done in the last 5 months

@magsimoo @JeremyVineOn5 This! My boy was born a week before lockdown. We have had zero support from anyone to know how we are getting on/if he’s doing ok, doing what he’s meant to. I had a call at 6 wks to say we will speak to you at 12mths 🤷🏼‍♀️

Its the new mums who have had no support from MW/HV & are now expected to go back to work and just pop their baby into childcare, when all theyve known is mum/dad for their entire life & have had no real exp of the real world.
