MLK Jr. wasn’t a Christian
He:
- Denied the virgin birth
- Denied the Trinity
- Denied the divinity of Jesus
- Denied the resurrection
- Plagiarized
- Was a serial adulterer
- Laughed at a woman getting raped
- Committed adultery the night before he died
- Was a communist
@tyler_austin55 Yes, the Authorized Version is tops. It may be awkward at first, but the flow of the text often comes sooner than expected.
I grew up reading the 80s NIV. Then switched to ESV shortly after that version was released. But about a decade ago I made the jump. It's been a blessing.
Dear Americans,
Your government is lying to you.
This is the president of Syria Bashar Al Assad alongside his wife and children. He is not a murderer, he is not a criminal, and he is not a tyrant.
Terrorists are being backed by YOUR government to overthrow this man due to his support for the Palestinian cause.
If he falls, Syria will be turned into a rogue terrorist state. Christianity will seize to exist in Syria. It’s time to wake up.
@MordeTweet Recons like to boast, but they have no track, rail or borders to keep a true commonality between them. Few recons have some truly bizarre beliefs among them. As such I don't doubt the presence of a recon to reeeeecon pipeline.
I recently finished 2 books on the country of Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe). The more I heard about what happened in that country in the 1970's, the more I realized that it would be wise to study the events surrounding the fall of Rhodesia. Here are just a few bullet points:
1. Rhodesia was a majority Black country, that was settled by White Englishmen. These men established a minority lead government that served the people of Rhodesia.
2. The government was so efficient and transparent, that even the worst enemies of Rhodesia did not dare to level accusations of corruption against their government.
3. In the short time that Rhodesia existed, it produced some of the greatest Athletes, Fighting Forces, and Statesmen in the world. It also produced the majority of crops for the entire continent of Africa
4. To keep their government, and therefore their country, functioning and thriving, they instituted voting laws that excluded the uneducated and those who do not own property. The law was applied equally amongst Blacks and Whites, but obviously effected the Blacks more, as they were still basically tribal by the time the Englishmen had arrived.
5. Even with a purely White minority rule in the country, the Blacks in that nation had the highest standard of living on the entire continent. They were treated fairly. And according to both Blacks and Whites, there was no racial animosity between the groups.
6. Rhodesia was segregated. Both Blacks and White agreed that this is why racial tensions were so low in that nation. While they conducted routine business together, they basically had two different societies, and were able to enjoy each other because of it.
7. A new wave of thought was sweeping the world during this years. The seeds of what we now see with CRT and DEI were being planted. Governments all over the world villainized the White Rhodesian government simply because they were White.
8. So, long story short, Jimmy Carter and Margaret Thatcher (along with other world leaders, but particularly those 2) paired up with a Communist group lead by Robert Mugabe to drive the Whites out of Rhodesia. After a prolonged war, in which the Rhodesians destroyed their enemies over and over again (their fighting forces were absolutely incredible), they lost the country due to politics. The United States and England slit their throats.
9. The nation was handed over to Mugabe and the Communists. The name was changed to Zimbabwe, and Mugabe ruled until 2017 when he died. During that time, Rhodesia went from:
A. The most prosperous nation in Africa, to the poorest.
B. The biggest producer of crops, to starving.
C. The least corrupt government, to a comically corrupt government.
D. A place with little/no racial tension, to a place where a White genocide was carried out with the open support of the media and the Governments around the world.
E. A place of freedom and learning, to a nation of uneducated people ruled by tyrants.
10. One of the things that stuck out most in this book was the Soldiers simple observations:
A. "As long as the war crimes were Black on White, the media praised it"
B. The world was simply against us because we were White. We had done nothing wrong.
C. Because they hung the idea of "racism" around our necks, they were allowed to do anything they wanted to us.
D. The western nations decided that it was better to be ruled by tyrants, and to have horrific atrocities, than to have a government that could appear to be racist.
11. The young men of Rhodesia showed incredible bravery. They fought with courage, and they won. They were men, even though most of them were just teens or early 20's. They were sacrificed to the Communists so that the West could appear to be against "racism"
12. I'll end with a quote from the author of one of the books I finished. He was a soldier in the Rhodesian SAS
"Soon, my fellow soldiers and I will have left this life, and the story of Rhodesia will fade into obscurity. I hope, in time, our grandchildren and their children will hear this and remember us for what we were, not for what the world portrayed us as. Many believe this was a racial war, but that is simplistic and wrong. I did not fight for white domination or white rule; I fought for the preservation of what I saw as Christian civilization, and I do not apologize for that."
A friend and I just returned from the area of Black Mountain, NC, just east of Asheville.
The damage from Helene was saddening, but the progress already made was encouraging. This thread describes what I saw yesterday and today, and how you can help.
