🏳🌈 softeng seeks brain food re: Intersect’l feminism. Labor. AI. Language. Music. Ocelots. Let’s hold hands on the bloated, decaying corpse of capitalism 😷
In case it’s not abundantly clear from reading the comments, when it comes to Covid and masking, there are really only two kinds of people: those who know they have skin in the game, and those who haven’t yet figured out they have skin in the game.
Here’s the pollsters note that Biden and democrat governors listened to instead of following the science. He let pollsters decide the national policy on a deadly pandemic killing & disabling. that’s why the pandemic never ended. Sickness & death for 4 years so far under Biden.
I’ve been ghosted by doctors and dentists simply for *asking* about their current covid policies, not even for asking them to *do* anything
Share your story, add your voice, force the powers that be to see with what their cowardice does. Let’s show the fuckers how mad we are
Are you disabled? Have you had trouble accessing healthcare because of COVID? My friend sent me this, a place where you can express that to an independent committee that reports to congress
Let's flood them with answers about how COVID has impacted our care

These are the tools. If we used them, Covid would be a trickle, with far fewer deaths, and those getting long Covid. Even without magic breakthroughs we can cut Covid to tiny amounts now if we choose to.
. @kofi_button hey y’all, big fan of what you do!
quick question, why does your platform force SMS fall-back when enabling 2FA?
SMS is the *least* secure 2fa method so this makes the authenticator-based 2fa useless 🙁 email verification fallback would be far safer I think?
Just as there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, there is no ethical vote at the federal level under US imperialism.
Voting is an important tool for harm reduction at home, but it has never been — and will never be — the most powerful tool in the activist’s kit.
Direct action, mutual aid, and engaging with community are how we make progress!
Things feel more hopeless and exhausting when we try to deal with them in isolation — Meet your neighbors, Mask up if you’re chillin in person, and Make the ruling class piss their fucking pants!
Just a friendly reminder with DST ending soon that our kids *always* need more sleep, and an easy way to boost school performance is to push back the start of the school day.
Capitalism fun fact: this could minorly inconvenience some employers, and therefore we haven’t done it!
@stufalk@NYTGuildTech@nytimes you know what really reeks of Trump policy? Misdirection and false equivalencies.
You know *exactly* what you’re doing, and here’s the fun thing: We know too.
@stufalk@NYTGuildTech@nytimes some guy who’s worked as National Advertising Manager for NYT is opposed to Times workers standing up for themselves, surprising!
I’m sure you wouldn’t try to put some marketing spin on your bad take, right pal?
nerd friends, does anyone know if there’s an active effort to get Apple to add support for Toki Pona as a system language?
(I know it’d be a wild task, I’m simply wondering if there’s anyone out there who’s tried poking them about it :p)

in search of a collection of household networking documentation written in the style of Jane Austen or Edith Wharton. TCP handshakes as introductions at a party, ip tables as dinner seating arrangements -- what delicious social tangles our smartphones and NASes and Rokus weave!
So a publisher admits to publishing propaganda and censoring art. Deleted the tweet (but not before i screenshotted it).
Art has ALWAYS reflected the historical context in which it was created. Gregorian chants, Mozart’s order, Chopin’s passion.
Censoring it is tyrannical.
