The German youngster has dropped at least one set in almost every single match she’s played since the hardcourt swing began. That lack of stability was on full display in her recent outing against Nadia Podoroska down in São Paulo, where her serve failed her under pressure and her groundstrokes broke down in key transition moments.

Ruse possesses far more main-tour experience, thrives in these outdoor hard conditions, and holds a much higher physical baseline right now. Given Lys’s ongoing form issues and tendency to let matches slip away, Ruse is positioned exceptionally well to secure the win.

While Vekic has endured a tough string of recent results, her ability to snatch sets remains remarkably consistent, she has taken at least one set in all of her recent matches regardless of the final outcome. Looking at their direct head-to-head history, Vekic leads the overall series and has pushed Wang to three tight sets even in her lone defeat, which came just last month at the Cincinnati Open. Furthermore, Vekic’s aggressive indoor game has already proven successful against Wang, including a dominant straight-sets victory indoors. Given Vekic’s baseline power, experience, and stubborn set winning record, backing her to take at least one frame gives us complete coverage.

Nearly all of Ferro’s success during this recent resurgence has come on slow, red clay, where her game has room to breathe.

When you shift the conditions over to a indoor hardcourt, the dynamic changes completely. Gibson is sitting right around her career-high world ranking (No. 62) for a reason, her game is built specifically to thrive on fast, flat surfaces. The 22 year old Aussie packs a huge first serve and plays aggressive, first-strike tennis from the baseline that takes time away from her opponents.

While Ferro’s court coverage and competitive toughness might keep the opening set competitive, Gibson’s serve volume and raw power off both wings should allow her to dictate play, push Ferro deep behind the baseline, and pull away as the match wears on.

Her spot in the Top 100 is seriously on the line right now because she’s defending all those ranking points from her semifinal run here last year. Now, if you just glance at her record, 12 total wins on the year doesn't look like much on paper, but if you've actually been watching her recent matches, the ball striking and form are way better than the win loss column suggests. She’s taking on Yao Xinxin, who deserves credit for fighting through the qualifying rounds to grab her first main-draw appearance of the year, but let's be real, stepping up to face a highly motivated Top 100 player in a main-draw environment is a massive jump in pressure and quality. Joint knows what’s at stake, and that extra motivation should carry her through comfortably.

Then you pair that with Lanlana Tararudee taking on Moyuka Uchijima, where the baseline reliability gap is just too wide to ignore. Uchijima was sitting comfortably inside the Top 50 last year, but lately, she’s been dropping matches left and right, sliding in and out of the Top 100 because her consistency has completely fallen off a cliff. Tararudee, on the other hand, is playing the best tennis of her life, sitting at a brand new career-high ranking of No. 61. What really seals the deal here are the hardcourt stats: Tararudee has already racked up 40 hardcourt wins this season alone. When the rallies extend, Tararudee simply has the more dependable groundstrokes and rhythm to wear Uchijima down from the back of the court.

Rangers just showed us exactly what they can do against Celtic, putting three past them in the last Old Firm derby. That result came at Ibrox, but the important part for me is that Rangers have already proven they can create problems for this Celtic side.

Now we move to Celtic Park, and I expect a completely different response from Celtic.

They suffered their first domestic defeat of the season against Ferencvaros, and they now have the perfect opportunity to react immediately in front of their own supporters. Celtic had won their opening six league matches and scored 14 goals before this derby, so I’m not expecting them to simply disappear again.

That’s where the BTTS comes in for me.

I expect Celtic to find their goal, but I also have no problem backing Rangers to contribute again after scoring three in the previous meeting. And once both sides get on the scoresheet, we only need one more goal to take us over 2.5.

This is an Old Firm with revenge, confidence, pressure and plenty of attacking quality involved. Four of the last six meetings across all competitions have produced both teams scoring and at least three goals, which fits perfectly with the angle I’m taking here.

Celtic have something to prove. Rangers have already shown they can hurt them.

There’s one thing I keep coming back to with this game: why would I want to go against Porto at the Dragão?

The market is giving Benfica a lot of respect, and I understand why. They’re coming into this game in excellent form and just picked up a statement European result at San Siro. But this is a completely different environment. Porto are at home, they’re sitting top of the table, and they’ve conceded only two goals across their first six league matches.

The numbers at the Dragão make the double chance particularly interesting. Porto have been extremely difficult to beat at home in the league, with the latest available figures showing just one defeat in their last 40 home league matches. That is exactly why I’m much more comfortable taking Porto or Draw instead of forcing the straight win.

And there’s another layer to it. Porto are currently two points clear at the top, so even if Benfica manage to avoid defeat, a draw would still leave Porto ahead of them in the table. With Francesco Farioli’s team defending this well, I see plenty of reasons for Porto to approach this game knowing that they absolutely cannot afford to lose the battle.

The second part of the play is Porto to score. They’ve scored in all six of their league matches this season, and the historical record at the Dragão also favors the home side heavily: Porto have won 71 of 121 meetings with Benfica at this stadium.

So I’m not asking Porto to dominate Benfica for 90 minutes. I’m asking them to do what they’ve been doing all season: stay difficult to break down, use the Dragão advantage, and find at least one goal.

Real Madrid have been producing goals consistently, and when you look specifically at this matchup, there’s another trend that immediately stands out. In four of their last five meetings against Atlético Madrid, Real have scored at least twice. The results were 3-2, 2-1, 2-5 and 2-1, meaning Madrid hit the two goal mark in four of those five games.

Now add the current situation.

Real Madrid are coming off a dramatic 3-2 win at Elche, while Barcelona have already won again and currently sit three points ahead of Madrid. With Atlético also just two points under them, this is exactly the type of game where Madrid need to respond.

And I’m not asking Real Madrid to win the derby. I’m not asking them to control 90 minutes. I just need two goals from their attack.

That’s a completely different proposition.

We’ve already seen this matchup produce goals from Madrid, and Real are averaging 2.8 goals per game across their last five, according to the current statistical snapshot. They’ve also scored two or more in four of those five recent meetings with Atlético.

Atlético will obviously make this difficult, it’s a Madrid derby at the Metropolitano but that is exactly why I prefer attacking Madrid’s team total rather than taking their moneyline.

Two Real Madrid goals. That’s all we need.

Nice are sitting at the bottom of Ligue 1 with just 2 points from their first four games, while Lille have collected 10 points from four matches and are currently at the top end of the table. The difference in the opening weeks has been pretty clear: Nice have scored only once, while Lille have already found the net seven times and conceded just twice.

That’s why I’m taking the protection here. Lille or Draw gives me two ways to cash this part of the bet, and I don’t see enough from Nice’s start to make me want to back them against Lille.

Then we add Over 1.5 Goals, and that’s where I think the combination makes even more sense. Lille have scored in each of their last four Ligue 1 matches, and they’ve gone over the 1.5 goal line in three of their first four league games.

I also like the fact that we don’t necessarily need a dominant Lille performance. A 1-1 gets the job done. A 0-2 gets the job done. A 1-2 gets the job done. Lille scoring twice is obviously the result I’m looking for, but the structure of this play gives us some room even if Nice manage to contribute.

For me, the key is simple, Lille have shown considerably more attacking production, Nice have struggled badly for results and goals, and I’m protecting myself with the draw.
