@MurphysLaw74 You’ve been on this platform long enough to know people just enjoy being negative. It’s easier on their little brains to yell at the clouds than think critically.
@CShredwards@BruinsNetwork We weren’t closer to winning a cup once Bergeron and Krecjinwere done, so that trade is whatever…. What I WILL say, is they absolutely have to trade Korpisalo now. DiPietro has proven he will be a more than capable backup to Swayman.
@hibruinationpod Only way Hagens isn’t in the deal is if Larkin chooses Boston as the only team (maybe one of 2 teams). It would also need to be Geekie or Zacha (with an extension) rather than Mittelstadt
@_TyAnderson If Bs are on a very very short list, I could see it working out without trading a big piece like Hagens. That said, I’m very curious to see if Hischier extends in NJ. That would be a better get than Larkin.
@sdpnsports Didn’t Marner get a ton of death threats, home address posted all over the internet and get held up at gun point once? What’s wrong with him reflecting on all that after punching his ticket to the cup final?
@TheSkatePod On forward - send Reichel and Eissemont to the minors, bring up Poitras, and tinker as you go. (Bobby McMann would be an upgrade over Mittelstadt in the top 9 fwiw)…. Just a few ways to improve the team WHILE developing and giving the kids some rope. Win-win, Brian.
@TheSkatePod Mailbag: Keep in mind any UFA *Andersson* Bs sign can’t sign for more than 6yr term moving forward. Along with him, I’d be calling the Ducks about Zellweger. A Zellweger-Trouba tandem (if Andersson signs elsewhere) upgrades D corps and doesn’t break the bank.
@ConorRyan_93 But what does a ‘hockey trade’ look like here? Lohrei for Zellweger? Don’t think you’re getting mctavish unless you’re prepared to give up Minten +
@BruinsCLNS@ConorRyan_93@_TyAnderson I don’t get the hesitation with Andersson. His cap% at signing (9ish aav) would be 30th in the NHL. He’s the best D option without giving up premium assets. And he’s only missed 12 total games in his 8 full NHL seasons. He’s not stealing a spot from a prospect. What am I missing?
@EvolvingHockey If the projected term is 8 years is that assuming they sign extensions before July 1? Won’t the new max term be 7 yrs for resigning with current team?
