Wounded Mykola is from Obukhiv, Kyiv region.
He graduated from medical college and dreamed of becoming a rehabilitation therapist.

He went to defend Ukraine and was badly injured near Bakhmut.
When he opened his eyes, he saw that there was nothing left of his leg.
He also got severe craniocerebral contusion.

Then there was evacuation, Mechnikov hospital, several surgeries, and lots of blood transfusions: he is now on medications that support vital functions.

Mykola is slowly recovering.
He managed to be born again.
His wife is by his side.
He began to speak, swallow food, and breathe without a ventilator.
There are thousands of such people in our country.

Surprising (read: fake) ‘Egg News’ from Mordor via TASS:

“Russian poultry eggs remain among the cheapest and most affordable in the world. This was reported to journalists by Director General of the Russian Poultry Union Galina Bobyleva.

"Currently, per capita consumption of eggs is more than 285 per year. Thus, Russia is among the top 10 countries with the highest consumption of eggs per person per year, it ranks sixth in world production, and fourth in terms of production of poultry meat. At the same time, the Russian egg remains one of the cheapest and most affordable in the world for the consumer," she said.

According to Bobyleva, at the end of 2023, Russia produced a record volume of eggs since 1990 and for the second year in a row ensured the maximum volume of poultry meat production. Thus, according to the Union, the gross volume of egg production will exceed the level of 2022.

"It should be noted that despite the difficult epizootic situation, over the past 10 years the volume of egg production in agricultural organizations has increased by around 20%," the Director General of the Union added.

The industry is ready to increase production in the future with sustainable demand and guarantees of product sales, she added.”

One step closer to withdraw Orban’s voting rights.

A cross-party coalition of 120 Members of the European Parliament demand Hungary to be stripped of its voting rights over the country's democratic backsliding and Viktor Orbán's "unacceptable" use of veto power.

"We believe that this action is necessary to protect the values of the European Union," the lawmakers say in a letter sent on Friday to the Parliament's president, Roberta Metsola.

The text cites two main reasons to defend the unprecedented step: Hungary's continued democratic backsliding and Orbán's controversial role in the EU summit of December.

The Hungarian premier infuriated his fellow leaders when he made good on his threat to veto a proposed €50-billion fund to provide Ukraine with macro-financial assistance between 2024 and 2027.

In its joint letter, lawmakers urge the other EU institutions to forge ahead with Article 7, the "nuclear option" to address and correct violations of the bloc's fundamental values.

Next it would be crucial to measure the final overall support for the petition’s idea.

Viacheslav Levytskyi, from Podilsk, Odesa region, was a driver and forwarder in civilian life. He fought in Kherson direction, where he was seriously injured: his legs and torso were shot, and his hands were frozen.

Viacheslav spent 7 days with his injury moving in the gray zone. But he faced the enemy and was taken prisoner by the so-called "DPR", where he stayed for three days without any medical care. From there, he was ransomed by Chechens for an exchange. They amputated all four of his limbs.

Now Viacheslav is undergoing rehabilitation, getting used to and learning to use prosthetic legs, and preparing for prosthetic arms. But already now, without the upper limb prostheses, he can take off and put on his leg prostheses with his own stump, almost without any help.

His strength is unbelievable. Glory to Ukrainian Hero.
