A lovely bday surprise today - my first paper as first author is now available online. This paper is based on my honours work, assessing the structure of coastal forested wetland using field and remote sensing data. Check it out (full ver until June 16)!

Great week out in Broken Hill delivering SheMaps programs to High School students - learning to fly drones, code etc. Aiming to increase #womeninSTEM@AustralianUAVS@shemapsau#UAV
First day off after the #MMM6 conference. Exhausted but inspired. Jeff and I still found some mangroves :)) I can never truly switch off thinking about coastal processes unless you take me to the mountains
Very interesting #MMM6 plenary by @AndreRovai
Some key take aways for me:
- sampling is concentrated in various climatic zones, tidal ranges etc.
- we need to fill the gaps in our spatial representation
- how do we do this fairly and ethically?

Tour of the local mangroves for World Mangrove Day yesterday. Couldnโt help myself but take a snap of the exposed upper root profile :))) was nice to have a slower paced day - keen for more exciting talks today #MMM6
Standing room only @mmm6 as @BrookeConroy13 demonstrates why we need to dig deeper to understand #mangrove root growth contributions to #BlueCarbon sequestration
